I was only told at the beginning of my appointment that the provider does not actually accept my insurance. He said he would submit a claim for reimbursement, but a month later my insurance confirmed nothing had been filed and that I would need to submit it myself. During the session, he also attempted to sell me an expensiv multi-session package outside of insurance. The lack of transparency around billing was frustrating.
