Tonies Health
I'm a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and I built Tonies Health around one idea: you should see the same clinician every time, and that clinician should have time to actually think about your case.
Before I moved into primary care, I spent nearly two decades in nursing- most of it intensive care and cardiovascular critical care. I cared for heart and lung transplant patient recipients, patients on ECMO and mechanical circulatory support, and people in advanced heart failure at the University of Washington in Seattle, Kaiser Permanente and Stanford Medicine in San Francisco, and Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. I still hold my CCRN.
A lot of what I saw in the ICU started years earlier as something ordinary- blood pressure that drifted, a lab result nobody followed up on, a medication that was never revisited. Primary care is where those stories get changed, and I'd rather be there.
What I treat
Full-scope adult primary care: acute illness, preventive screening, and long-term management of high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and cardiovascular risk. I also work in depth in hormone replacement, trans health, men's health, low testosterone, medical weight management including GLP-1 medications and mental health care delivered alongside your primary care rather than in a separate silo.
If you're considering a GLP-1, I'll want labs before we start and again as we go. That isn't a hurdle- it's how the medication is supposed to be used, and it's the part most quick-start programs skip.
How a visit actually works
You will see me, not a rotating panel, not whoever is on shift. I read your history before we talk, I ask questions, and you leave with a plan you understand and can repeat back to someone else.
Visits can be both cash-pay with published pricing, so there is no confusion about how much you will pay later. Or you can use your insurance plan, and part of the pre-appointment is to check and verify your coverage and cost so there are no surprises.
I am licensed in California, Florida, Washington, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, with more states pending, and I practice in English and Spanish- if Spanish is your first language, we'll speak it directly, with no interpreter in the middle.
One thing worth knowing before you book.
Telehealth is genuinely good for a lot of medicine and genuinely wrong for some of it. If what you're describing needs and exam, imaging, labs, or a specialist, I'll say so and help you figure out where to go. I'd rather lose the visit than manage something over video that should not be managed over the video.
That's the whole pitch. No transformations, no protocols, no promises about optimizing anything. Careful medicine from someone who has seen what happens when care comes too late, delivered in a way that fits an actual working life.

This is my second time seeing this provider. I came back because my first expirence was 10/10 and it's been my best experience with ANY provider so far, and I've seen many. He actually LISTENS and wants to help SOLVE the problem, not just throw a bandaid over it.
