Toyos Clinic specializes in three areas - Vision, Optical, and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Vision encompasses medical and surgical eye care which includes cataract surgery, glaucoma, dry eye, Wavelight Lasik, age related macular degeneration, keratoconus, strabismus, diabetic and hypertensive eye exams and more. Optical includes general eye exams requiring glasses or contacts. The clinic offers trained frame stylists to fit a wide variety of designer eyewear and Optometrists to fit general and specialty contact lenses. Facial Cosmetic Surgery includes laser resurfacing, laser blepharoplasty, cosmetic lid surgery, filler, botox, Intense Pulse Light, Microdermabrasion, LED and a complete line of medical skin care products.

Cramped exam room. Leather stool was so cracked it scratched my legs.
Disappointing they did not offer to use my Medicare for cataract surgery. Doctor gave me two over the counter eye drops, Probably less at the drug store.

Back office staff couldn't get preauthorization before my visit despite providing online info (Target Optical never had this problem). Check in was Ok, but waiting was cramped, hot and I waited for 30 minutes before someone told me they couldn't contact the insurer. There were multiple others in the waiting that were waiting for some time. One of the worst optical experiences ever.

I was a patient in their clinic in another state. They were able to work with me and help me with my current issue. They recommended a treatment that I was comfortable with. The staff were friendly and helpful and Dr Toyos was great.

I don't really understand why I have to spend 15 minutes at home filling out forms when they are going to make me go through the entire process again in person. Really annoying. They push lasik pretty hard, so be prepared for that as well. I had to tell them multiple times that I wasn't interested, and treated me like I was making a huge mistake not getting lasik.

Don't recall seeing photos of office when I booked, but the office is really nice, a calm and relaxing environment. I am only visiting in Tennessee and an issue came up. I was able to get an appointment for the next morning. The office called me to verify that they could help me with my issue. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and in the office was very nice, with thorough explanations throughout my appointment. I would definitely recommend this doctor/office, and if I lived in the area I would definitely go back to them.

I was debating at first but finally decided to take action because we needed to see an eye doctor who spoke Spanish as soon as possible. I felt comfortable sending my mom to her appointment. After speaking with her she verified that she was well treated and that the staff had been friendly to her. I am beyond happy I made this decision for her.

This practice never runs on time. The front office and techs all do a great job, but the two doctors are sometimes hours behind schedule. For my last appointment, the doctor hadn't showed up at the office yet and this was two hours after opening. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

New office space....the team seemed a bit disorganized. I was especially disappointed that the technician who worked with me was exhibiting symptoms of something less than desirable - runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing.

I was very disappointed in my experience here. First, I do not think this is a place to go if you are simply looking for a regular eye care doctor. I went in based on strong reviews and, primarily, because they took my insurance but the second I went in the door, it was obvious their emphasis was on things like betox and lasik...I wish I had realized that before.
Despite having an appointment, I waited over 45 minutes to be seen (I was alone in the waiting room.) And then had a trainee and a trainer conduct the first part of my exam...slowed down, of course, by the fact the trainee struggled to figure out some of the steps she should complete. (There was no option or question asking if I was okay having someone in training in my session.) The eye doctor himself was very kind, patient, and made the exam great...but at that point I was tired and had been waiting a very long time already.
Also, unfortunately, they didn't check my chart to see that I had come in for contact prescription and ended up giving me a glasses prescription.
When I went back out to the front to get contacts, the lady had to go find my eye doctor and he came out and gave me some contacts to "try out" since I couldn't actually test them after having my eyes dilated.
To top matters off, they charged for both a glasses check and a contacts check (not actually completed) which shot up the price of my appointment astronomically and never apologized for making the mistake themselves.
Overall, I was highly disappointed in the experience. Having called a few times after this experience, each time the staff (besides the actual eye doctor) seem confused and unprofessional. Their greetings are odd or nonexistent and they regularly put me on hold to "find out if (blank) is in today" despite being a small space.
With the options you have in Nashville, this isn't worth the trouble.

I had not been to an eye wellness check since 2018. I had an eye problem that required attention same day from an ophthalmologist’s office. Even though I was a new patient and they had to work me in, the assistant over the phone was reassuring and so helpful o get me in. The
front desk was efficient, friendly, and went above and beyond to get me in and processed quickly. The staff and. Dr, Jodoin were professional, reassuring, and beyond kind to relieve my anxiety and thoroughly examine my eye. Very compassionate care in a lovely environment. Could not be more grateful!

When I came into the empty office, I waited 30 minutes before I was seen by anyone. I was then asked some general questions and left in the exam room for another 35-40 minutes before I even met the doctor. The doctor did not even introduce themselves to me and then gave me some products for "dryness and irritation" which I had no complaints of (I was just coming in for an annual eye exam). And while I thought these were products given to me to try- they actually cost me much more than any co-pay i have ever had for symptoms I did not have. Overall the hands-on care time i received was about 15 minutes for the 1 hour and 45 minutes that I spent in total here. I will not be returning.

I had to wait 40 minute to be seen and then another 45 minutes with my eyes dilated for the doctor to even show up. Then, they didn't address my night blindness or trouble seeing in the rain. Never returning.

There was free complementary parking--which was awesome. I was 30mins early because I was a new patient and I thought there would be a lot of paperwork and a long wait, but the paperwork was simple and after a 10ish minute wait...I was seen (before my official appointment time!). The staff was very polite and professional and talked with me about new contact options. I was in and out, with a new contact prescription, within 40 minutes! No time wasted at all !

For my first time in a long time having to get an eye exam done the experience and service was superb. I felt very comfortable in their office and the women were beyond helpful. I got everything I needed done and found some great frames for a reasonable price. I would recommend the world to go to Dr. Toyos!!! Can't wait for the next eye exam.
