Dr. Baird’s bedside manner is outstanding. He was very patient, listened to my concerns and asked me if I had questions about my diagnosis. He clearly explained the “why” and immediate next steps. I felt seen, heard and comfortable with the plan going forward! I’m so glad I got a second opinion!!!

Dr Baird is one of the best doctors I have ever had. I wish he could be my doctor for everything. He has a fantastic bedside manner, listens very well, is always professional and compassionate. I feel like he always has my best interest in mind.

It is too early to tell whether this doctor is good or not. However it is outrageous that an appointment book months in advance was canceled and rescheduled for the doctor's convenience. Arriving 15 minutes prior to the appointment as it was requested, I then waited 50 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time to be seen. During that entire time I had no communications with the staff to explain what was going on. I had to go find staff to ask what was going on. They look like during the headlights and said the doctor must be running late. Thank you sherlock. When I was finally seen, i explained to no uncertain terms to the doctor that this is unacceptable. This is my first experience with University of Chicago medicine. It may be my last.

If you are looking for a provider that very knowable, kind, caring and compassionate, Shana Hornbeck is that person. She also has an excellent bedside manner. I felt very comfortable with her and it was a very good visit, which helped me understand what is going on with my health. She also takes time with you (you will not feel rushed). Wish all providers could be this nice. Highly recommend Shana Hornbeck.

Ms. Shana is a great ENT PA. She resolved my ear issues immediately ( impacted ear wax) and gave great tips on migraines/headache treatment protocol. I have seen other ENT doctors before and Ms. Shana is the best!

Doctor was amazing! She was super attentive, had a sense of humor, communicated clearly, and I felt encouraged to reach out with any questions, concerns, or if I continued with the same symptoms. Her staff was just as friendly! It was so nice to see that there are great collaborative and interpersonal relationships in her office. You can tell that her and her staff really appreciate and respect one another, which obviously helps with the flow of patient care.

I've been avoiding seeing a doctor but Dr. Roshni Patel was genuinely so nice it took away all my health anxiety. Super great listener and clear communicator! I appreciate how she explained everything to me in medical terms and non-medical terms lol

I had a fantastic experience with Roshni and would definitely recommend her!
She was incredibly attentive and really listened to me. I also appreciated how proactive she was in ordering a scope ahead of time. During the procedure, she explained what she was doing and made me feel completely comfortable.
She did a great job explaining what she saw in a way that was easy to understand, and I left feeling clear on what’s going on and what the plan is. I also liked that she was upfront about where ENT ends and when a GI referral might make sense.
Overall, she’s thoughtful, thorough, and easy to talk to. You can tell she really cares about her patients. Highly recommend!

She took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained everything in a clear and respectful way, and made sure I felt comfortable and understood throughout the visit.
