Vantage Point Psychiatry, LLC

Theresa has spent more than twenty-five years in nursing, working across a wide range of clinical settings before transitioning fully into mental health in 2016. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (Psychiatry) from Southern Adventist University in 2018, after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Today she practices as a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with full prescriptive authority and is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. She founded Vantage Point Psychiatry, LLC in Wentzville to offer fast, personal, judgment-free psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and seniors — most patients are seen within days of reaching out. Her practice combines thoughtful medication management with supportive, evidence-based therapy. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based and Compassion-Focused approaches — selected and blended for the person in front of her, not the diagnosis on the chart. Outside the office, Theresa is a traveler and a quiet advocate for the natural world — volunteering and giving where she can to make life better for animals and the people who share their habitat. That same warmth and curiosity is what clients tend to mention first.
