Had my first Telehealth visit with a Bariatrics doctor yesterday and it went really good. I was able to get a prescription for the GLP1 injection. I’m just waiting to get the prior authorization done so my insurance will cover it. My doctors been able message me easily through their online portal letting me know to get my bloodwork done ASAP because she needs it to complete the prior authorization and submit it to my insurance company so the Pharmacy can fill it for me. This is a normal process for getting any of the weight loss injections covered by your insurance so I knew it would take several day’s to get my prescription. I’m excited to get started & happy I was able to do this all by video chat!! Thank God for all the Telehealth/Virtual healthcare providers finally allowed to do this! I’ve been using ZocDoc to find & schedule all my different doctor visits. Their customer support service is quick and helpful which i find refreshing. I definitely recommend using the app!
