Vera's Loving Hands

Vera’s Loving Hands provides adult telepsychiatry and medication-management care through secure virtual appointments. I work with adults experiencing ADHD symptoms, anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, bipolar disorder, PTSD or trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, stress, and challenges with focus, emotional regulation, and daily functioning. My approach is structured, collaborative, and practical. Care begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that reviews symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, current stressors, functioning, and treatment goals. I provide clear recommendations, medication education, and ongoing follow-up so patients understand their options and can participate actively in treatment decisions. Treatment is individualized rather than one-size-fits-all. Visits may include medication initiation, medication adjustment, symptom monitoring, and brief supportive or behavioral strategies incorporated into medication-management appointments. Ongoing psychotherapy is not provided, but therapy referrals may be recommended when additional support would strengthen treatment outcomes. I strive to provide culturally responsive and affirming care, with particular experience supporting Black adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and patients who have previously felt overlooked, dismissed, or misunderstood in healthcare settings. Florida patients may use select insurance plans through Headway, including Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Optum/UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, Oxford, UMR, and other eligible plans. Insurance eligibility must be verified through Headway before the appointment is confirmed. Self-pay options are also available. Washington services are currently self-pay only. Evening and Saturday telehealth appointments are available. Completed intake forms are required before the initial appointment so the evaluation can be efficient, thorough, and focused.
