The practice provides physician-led virtual care across 49 states with a focus on preventive medicine, longevity strategy, metabolic optimization, and comprehensive risk reduction. This is not rushed, transactional telemedicine. Appointments are personalized, thorough, and designed to evaluate the full clinical picture. Visits go beyond short-term symptom relief to assess root contributors, lifestyle drivers, cardiometabolic risk, inflammatory burden, hormonal balance, and long-term disease prevention. The goal is thoughtful, evidence-based care that improves both present health and future trajectory. Services may include comprehensive wellness evaluations, executive-style health reviews, chronic condition management, detailed lab interpretation and optimization, weight management strategy, hormone assessment, cardiovascular risk stratification, cancer screening coordination, and advanced biomarker testing when clinically appropriate. Lab testing can be arranged locally, through national draw centers, or via certain at-home testing options. Advanced options may include multi-cancer early detection testing (including the Galleri blood test), genomic analysis, advanced lipid profiling, inflammatory markers, micronutrient evaluation, metabolic panels, and imaging referrals such as MRI, CT, or coronary calcium scoring when indicated. VirtuHealthMD operates as a transparent cash-pay practice. There is no insurance billing, which allows for longer visits, direct physician access, and medical decision-making centered on clinical judgment rather than reimbursement constraints. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Superbills may be provided for patients who wish to pursue potential out-of-network reimbursement with their insurance carrier. Medication Policy VirtuHealthMD does not prescribe controlled substances for new patients via telemedicine. This includes benzodiazepines (such as clonazepam), opioid pain medications, stimulant medications, or short-term “bridge” prescriptions. Ongoing controlled substance management generally requires in-person oversight and structured monitoring. Hormone therapy, including testosterone, is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and requires appropriate laboratory assessment and clinical evaluation. The focus of the practice is structured, long-term, evidence-based care rather than short-term or convenience prescribing.
