I don't accept insurance, so please do not book if you need to use your insurance, because I will have to pay Zocdoc a fee and that is quite difficult for an individual practitioner. I also have to pay a fee if you book and then cancel with me unless it is on Zocdoc and within 24 hours.
I focus on my clients as individuals and tailor therapy to your needs. You are unique and your therapy should reflect that. My main therapies and modalities are EMDR, ERP, Solution-focused, Mindfulness, CBT, and Narrative. I take a careful client-centered approach.
I am an Anxiety Specialist and focus on Anxiety Disorders and related PTSD, Depression, Trauma, and Social Anxiety. I work with Adults, so anyone over 18. Therapy is not a one time or a few sessions process. It probably took awhile to get to the level of discomfort or pain you are feeling and it will take time to work through it, which is a commitment. It is generally at least one time weekly, with some people choosing or needing more than once a week at the beginning of therapy for stabilization. So yes, it is a significant investment. I will send super bills if you are able to use your out-of-network benefits to cover some of the costs, but you are responsible for working with your insurance company. Feel free to take a look at my website for more information about me.
I do not work with current, active suicidality. So if you are having passive thoughts such as 'it's hard, and I wish I weren't here, but I don't want to harm myself, ' with no plan, no intent, that is not a problem. If you are currently contemplating (plan) to self harm, then another practitioner who specializes in that area or a higher level of care (inpatient) can be important.
