I was very sick going to this urgent care. I was desperate to be seen. I was looking for an appointment that could see me asap. After I got to the clinic, they were unaware that I made an appointment and they insisted the wait time would be 2+hours after making me pay the copay. Luckily I was able to get my money back and I left to find care somewhere else that could accommodate me.
I made an appointment for 12 noon on 12/23. Showed up 15 minutes early to do paperwork. After standing in line for 10 minutes at the one check-in screen I finally went to the front desk and asked the lady if I could check-in with her. She said no, everyone has to check-in on that one lobby screen. She said “we have a 3 hour wait also”. I let her know that I had a 12 noon appointment. She said “we will try to work you in. It’s going to be an hour at minimum”. I replied with “I have an appointment”. She just looked at me without a response. I asked her to cancel my appointment and left. She could not have cared less. Drove to Northside East Cobb, was seen in 15 minutes and had a great experience. Wellstar East Cobb urgent care needs to look at how they can better manage their intake and patient flow processes. Will not be back. They wasted my time.

I waited over an hour, then ask why my appointment time wasn’t honored. Was told they didn’t have it in the computer. I showed confirmation on phone. Was told then that I should have shown that to them at checking but I was not told that anywhere. Clerk was not at all apologetic for my not having info and waiting over an hour. Medical staff was very good.

I made my appointment online through ZOCDOC. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment time of 9:45am. They had not been made aware of my appointment. They told me it would be two hours before I would be seen due to how many walk-ins they had waiting and only one doctor available. I had to leave before I could be seen. I don't understand why an appointment was able to be made for that time when in reality, I wouldn't even be seen until two hours after my appointment time at 11:45am. I have had good, prior experiences with this Urgent Care location, but not today.

The nurses and tech were amazing. The doctor was fine. But i definitely felt well cared for but the doctor seemed to downplay my pain and wasn’t the best at communicating what it could or couldn’t be.
They didn’t do the full test I requested but did not contact me before to tell me. They also only do walk-in’s any told me my appointment wasn’t valid for a specific time but simply based on first come, first serve.
I over heard the Dr actually saying that he was counting down the days till he was going PT. You could tell it too because he was not the friendliest and didn't seem to care much about how I was doing.
I did have a long wait but it was legitimate, they had an emergency. When they got to me they could see how sick I was and the exam was very thorough. The symptoms were of many possibilities and they gave me tests and current medically used equipment (bebulizer) to relieve my symptoms and help me feel better for all of them. The nurse was very helpful and knowledgeable too. Yes, I would definitely go back there and recommend Dr. Rodriguez. Worth the wait.
The lady at the front desk was very attentive in trying to accomodate me as I had a prior online booked appointment at 1pm...but kiosk said 1:40....I had arranged my lunch time to see a Dr. For treatment..finally seen 2:10...very professional staff!

Everyone I interacted with took my concerns seriously, and took steps to figure out what was wrong. Even when nothing became apparent immediately, they assured me that they believe me and pointed me in the directions where I could get more answers. I’ve been gaslit by doctors in the past, which has made me less than trusting of new medical professionals, but coming here, went a long way to rebuilding that trust.

the whole check in process was crazy, difficult, confusing and impossible and the people at the desk offered no assistance to help people stuck at the kiosk. Line formed behind them and no one cared. Then once you were finally checked in, the monitor had no display of status. This was ridiculous and a faulty attempt to make people think these were saving anything but expense on the payroll for wellstar.

I was very impressed with the doctor, I have been struggling to get a referral and she made a personal call to try to get me in to see a specialist. This never happens. She was also very sympathetic to my issues and made me feel like she really cared. I would definitely go back again if needed.
