WholeChild Wellness

WholeChild Wellness is a pediatric psychology practice in Scottsdale, Arizona offering evidence-based, developmentally grounded care for children, teens, and their families. The practice is founded by Lauren M. Perez, PhD, BCBA, a pediatric psychologist and Health Service Psychologist (HSP) with extensive experience in hospital-based feeding programs, outpatient behavioral health, and multidisciplinary family care. Dr. Perez specializes in feeding challenges (including ARFID and selective eating), ADHD and executive functioning, anxiety, and parent support. She helps families navigate patterns that feel overwhelming—limited food variety, mealtime stress, rigidity around routines, shutdowns or avoidance, emotional reactivity, or difficulty with organization and follow-through. Her work blends pediatric psychology, ACT, CBT, MBCT, play-based approaches, and behavioral science to create thoughtful, practical, and sustainable plans. For feeding concerns, Dr. Perez integrates responsive feeding frameworks, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and playful nutrition education to support children and teens who struggle with expanding foods, tolerating change, or managing anxiety around eating. Parents receive personalized guidance to support growth without pressure or power struggles. For ADHD and executive functioning, she works with youth and young adults to identify what genuinely matters in their daily lives, build targeted skills, and reduce the “hidden work” that makes everyday tasks feel harder. Sessions often include habit design, performance-psychology strategies, environment and routine shaping, and developmentally tailored coaching. Parent-only sessions are available to support home routines, school communication, organization, and flexibility. Services include: • Individual therapy for children, teens, and young adults • Parent-only therapy and consultation • Pediatric feeding therapy • ADHD and executive-function intervention • Anxiety treatment • Sleep and routine support • Group-based interventions (including feeding groups for older children and teens) • Collaboration with schools, pediatricians, dietitians, and multidisciplinary teams Care is available in person in Scottsdale and via telehealth across PSYPACT-participating states. Dr. Perez creates a warm, responsive, developmentally informed space where families feel understood, supported, and guided step-by-step. WholeChild Wellness is committed to helping children and families build confidence, resilience, and meaningful progress—at a pace that respects each child’s nervous system, strengths, and lived experience.
