Dr. Quansheng Lu, CMD, PhD, is a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese medicine scholar, and guest professor. Before his medical school, he had learned and practiced acupuncture with his uncle, the local famous Chinese medicine doctor in China. He received his MD at Henan University of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in China; Master degree in TCM, Beijing University of TCM; PhD in integrated medicine, Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences; Fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center and Children’s National Medical Center at Washington DC. Dr. Lu has 25 years of extensive academic, educational, and practical experience. He holds 3 patents, published 7 books of TCM. Over 30 peer-reviewed papers and over 30 presentations in the international conferences.

Very unprofessional experience compared to what I’m used to. Very unprofessional. Staff did not expect me. They spoke in their language the entire time. Acupuncture is supposed to be relaxing , but the staff was laughing right outside my door. No pictures, no music, just a blank room like you’re in time out. Will not be back

I cannot comment on the treatment because the doctor was running behind and was double booked. I was instructed to show up 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment and arrived before the doctor and staff. The doctor and staff showed up closer to 9am and the energy of the place was too chaotic for me for an early morning appointment. I asked the front desk person if the doctor had 2 9am appointments and she confirmed that there were several acupressure and 2 9am acupuncture appointments but that the doctor would see me and it would only take 7-10 minutes to install the needles. But this was my first appointment and it made more sense to me that the doctor would need more time to discuss and learn about why I was seeking treatment and that would take more than 7-10 minutes. And if it didn't, he wasn't the right doctor for me. I did not like the idea of being rushed through the process so I left and chose not to reschedule. I selected another provider instead.
I recently had an appointment at Dr Lu’s clinic and I must say, the service was beyond my expectations. Not only was Dr Lu highly experienced, making me feel at ease throughout the procedure, but the thoughtful touches added to the positive experience. Realizing I was hungry, the staff graciously offered me water and cereal bars to keep my energy levels up. This kind of attentive care truly sets them apart, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone considering acupuncture.

Only thing that I would ask is that is office be more direct in billing needs prior to all being done.
