Wind and Wave Acupuncture Clinic LLC

I’m the founder and licensed acupuncturist at Wind and Wave Acupuncture Clinic in downtown Chicago. I came to the United States from Korea in 2002 as a 1.5 generation immigrant. I spent about 13 years in Denver, Colorado, and have called Chicago home for almost 10 years. I completed my acupuncture training at Colorado Chinese Medicine University (formerly CSTCM) and I’m licensed to practice acupuncture and East Asian medicine in the U.S. I work with office workers, students, older adults, and especially first responders who are carrying pain and stress in their bodies every day. My goal is not only to calm the surface symptoms like headaches, abdominal pain, or menstrual cramps, but also to understand the deeper patterns underneath them. The name “Wind and Wave” comes from East Asian medicine philosophy: when the wind moves, the waves follow, and when the waves shift, the wind changes. In the same way, the hidden imbalances in our internal organs can show up on the surface as pain, fatigue, digestive issues, sleep problems, or mood changes. By treating both the visible symptoms and the invisible roots, I want to help your body find its own rhythm again.
