My initial meeting was amazing. I have felt unheard by other mental health professionals and she not only acknowledged this but made sure I felt differently when meeting with her and that my needs were met. She offered a very good metaphor and definition for things and I am excited to meet with her again. I need to be treated by someone I feel is smarter than me but also that listens, and she met both of these marks. I also struggle with taking medication and don’t like being ordered to do so, but she worded things in a way that still made me feel in control.
