Xcel Urgent Care is a full-service walk-in medical center with digital X-ray capability, bedside ultrasound, and on-site laboratory testing. We are located in Bailey's Crossroads and are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Patients are welcome to walk-in during our business hours or connect with us via video.

There was a long wait to get into an examining room (understandable, since they are an urgent care clinic and my question was not high priority). But once I was in the examining room, they forgot I was there, and eventually I had to remind them that I was waiting.
The doctor, when I did see him, was good, helpful, and responsive to my question.

I was 15 minutes early for the 4:40 appt in the waiting room and I waited for more than an hour without ever hearing from the provider. I gave up at 5:27 because I had another appt I had to be present for at 5:30.

The nurse who drew my blood, gave me a hematoma on my left arm she was digging in my arm with the needle because she wasn’t getting any blood. she decided not to go into my vein that I used previously and poked me in a spot I’ve never gotten blood drawn out of she ended up having to switch arms

First they called and informed me that they would push my appointment back to 1pm. Which was fine but when the appointment time came no provider showed up. I had to call and they informed me the doctor was in with patient taking awhile for their visit. They offered to. Schedule me tomorrow but I declined and looked for another provider on the app

I’ve seen quite an array of specialists over the years b/c I have quite a few medical conditions and this was by far the nicest & most truly caring doctor I’ve ever seen. I was able to do a virtual visit within 2 hrs of searching for an appt for a migraine and he was great & quick & has excellent bedside manner. They even do primary care in person and I 100% am willing to travel the 2 hrs away just to establish care b/c I was so pleased with my visit!! Thank you again Dr. Akl.

I'd give her more stars she is very kind and thorough. But she says she will right a specific RX and give it to you for so many days. But doesn't follow with her word. That is not ok.

Jackie was fantastic both in the initial consult and then with follow-up testing, explaining everything that would be done and why. Dr G. was incredibly thorough and spent much more time with me than I would have expected.
Both Jackie and Dr G. were courteous, well-spoken and very open to answering any and all questions.
I could not be more pleased by their professionalism and the care they took during this visit.

Doctor Cox was very kind, attentive, patient, and listened to my symptoms and needs. She was able to look back into my medical history and provide further care tips for my illness. She wasn't there to push extra services or tests beyond what was absolutely necessary and I was in/out within 60 minutes on a weekend appointment. Very clean facility. Highly recommend Dr. Cox and this urgent care facility.
