I’m extremely disappointed with how my appointment was handled. I had a 3:00 PM appointment and left my home in Staten Island two hours in advance to make sure I arrived on time in Leonia, NJ. I was already on my way when, approximately almost before my scheduled appointment, I received a call from the clinic informing me that they were fully booked and could not accommodate my appointment. This is completely unacceptable. I made a significant effort to get there on time, and as a result of the last-minute cancellation, I wasted over $30 in tolls, gas, vehicle mileage, and approximately 3 hours of driving time. If the clinic knew that they were fully booked, I should have been notified well before I left my home. Canceling an appointment at the last minute, after a patient has already committed substantial time and expenses to traveling to the clinic, is extremely inconsiderate.
