I've been to a few psychiatrists before but I've always had the feeling that they didn't care about anything but the business. I feel like Dr Yoonas cares about taking care of me. He knows the medicine very well and always explains everything he does, plus he knows about or can provide supplementary treatments like CBT, meditation, and genetic analysis. He's cautious, he isn't pushy, and he's flexible.
The Dr. called me within an hour or so of scheduling the appointment to get some information and introduce himself. This level of care and attention is something I have not experienced before - even with the most seasoned of mental health and psychiatric professionals! In person, his bedside manner and cadence is warm and caring. He is a wonderful listener and well balanced - he allows you to talk and then offers his own (very, very knowledgable) perspective. I know I have found a great psychiatrist in him, and I cannot recommend Dr. Yoonas highly enough!
Very professional and personable without being sugarcoated. Kept it real but made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Yoonas is clearly experienced and has a calm, understanding demeanor. He knows how to build rapport with his patients in a short amount of time. I'd recommend him to others in a heartbeat.
He is gentle and really nice. Small practice so he can help each of his patients individually. I like that he is available to you at anytime even after hours! Seems like a great doctor so far! Overall good experience.
Dr. Yoonas took the time needed to thoroughly evaluate my situation. He demonstrated that he had listened carefully to everything I had told him. He also clearly explained his diagnosis and recommendations. Absolutely excellent.
It's been six years since I last saw a psychiatrist. Taking the step to see another was something I didn't take lightly. With my previous doctor, I felt like "just another patient". In the 90 minutes I had to talk to Dr. Yoonas I really felt like he not only listened to me but that he genuinely cared about the issues I'm dealing with. I feel confident that we are heading down the right path to help my overcome a problem I've faced since I was a kid. Dr. Yoonas has gained my respect and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends or family.

Within 30 minutes of making the apt, Dr. Zaakir Yoonas called to confirm the apt and get paperwork and insurance info in order. He was very knowledgable and makes you feel at ease. He really wants to get to the underlying problem rather than just give out medication right away (as some dr's sadly do). I would highly recommend him.
