Organized, timely office (initial paperwork always takes a little time). Dr. Diao is friendly, approachable, highly knowledgeable and reassuring. Additionally, i appreciate that his first instinct is to find a non-surgical solution. He operated on my daughter's finger/hand several years ago, with great success. This time, however, he went right to a non-surgical treatment for my son's injured finger - after his primary doctor had told him it would likely require surgery.

I returned to Dr. Diao because the hand surgery that he did several years ago was very successful. He is very careful to explain how much functionality you are likely to regain and what the path of healing will be. I strongly recommend him!

Hopefully, I will not have more hand and nerve issues. But if I do I would definitely return to Dr. Diao again! Dr. Diao performed two very successful surgeries on hand and elbow, which have greatly restored my ability to continue use my hands

dr. diao was very personable, but yet professional at the same time. personable to the point where i think he may allow his appointments to go a touch longer than scheduled, resulting in some unexpected wait times in his waiting room. the fluoro x-ray device he used on my hands was pretty neat.

Waiting time at Oakland office for 11:30 a.m. appointment was nearly an hour after I had arrived given the 11:10 a.m. appointment had already been taken. Doctor was okay, but not one I would return to. He did not ask questions to determine if I do any type of repetitive motion or suggest rest or inflammatory until I suggested it to the doctor. Seems like this would have been first types of questions / treatment.

Dr. Diao was great and very knowledgeable. Friendly and efficient in seeing me and diagnosing. Only downfall was the wait time was longer than I would have liked.

Friendly, helpful staff, great doctor. I had a minor surgical procedure that went much better than I had hoped, with a very small incision, almost no post-surgical pain and zero complications thanks to Dr. Diao's expertise. I would recommend Dr. Diao's office to anyone who needs hand surgery.
February 18, 2015Margaret A.Verified patient
Dr Diao spent time with me, answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. I left feeling good about the treatment plan. Even though surgery may ultimately be required Dr Diao recommended trying a more conservative approach as opposed to rushing in to surgery which I greatly appreciated.
January 29, 2015Shelley G.Verified patient
Dr. Diao's office called the morning of the appointment to reschedule an hour later because of a surgical commitment. Most doctor's offices don't think twice about letting patients sit for hours. His clinic is efficient with friendly, thorough staff. He appears knowledgeable and direct. A focus on enforced mediation to avoid malpractice litigation in the intake forms was a bit disconcerting.

Dr. Diao, his office staff, the staff at the Surgery Center were absolutely amazing! Dr. Diao is very personable and very experienced. He performed hand surgery on my 90 year old dad and all is well! Dad will be doing his other hand in January! Highly recommend!!!

He was great I've been having wrist trouble for months and seen multiple doctors, I had MRIs X-RAYs and still no diagnoses. Dr. Diao has an amazing staff and his office is full of technology, he is very through and clearly has plenty of experience, he was able to diagnose my wrist and give me a treatment plan in one plesent visit. If you're having any kind of wrist pain Edward Diao is the doctor you need to see!

Dr. Diao's office was centrally located and there was plenty of parking nearby. I had a sports injury and that's why I made the appointment. The front desk staff could have been nicer and that would have made for a better visit. I would go back to this doctor.
