Dr. Aaron Straw strives to truly understand his patients’ dental fears, uncertainties, challenges, hopes and desires and offers cosmetic, preventative, fixed-restorative and removable-restorative dentistry. He assists people with chipped, worn, and broken teeth; crooked, deformed, or discolored teeth; TMJ jaw pain; tooth decay; and gum disease.
After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Aaron Straw continued his education in advanced problem solving, full-mouth reconstruction, and cosmetic treatment planning through the Dawson Academy at the Mid-Atlantic Center for Advanced Dental Studies. He graduated near the top of his class and was honored for scoring in the top 10 percent on the National Dental Board Examination. Always focused on being at the forefront of dentistry knowledge, he recently completed a course on enteral conscious sedation and the management of related emergencies.
Outside of work, Dr. Straw teaches an enhancement course at church and helps to oversee their Sunday school teaching program. He has worked as a missionary in Spain and volunteered in a variety of teaching and service projects. As an Eagle Scout and former Scout Master, he strives to live according to the virtues of trustworthiness, loyalty, helpfulness, friendliness, courteousness, kindness, obedience, cheerfulness, thriftiness, cleanliness, courage, and reverence.
