Dr. Apana was terrific. Great bedside manner, very knowledgeable, and very helpful in explaining everything.
The whole staff was very professional and friendly, and everything ran very smoothly. I had a cavity to be filled and they filled it right then in about 10 minutes. Probably the best dental experience Ive had, cavity and all.

Dr. Apana joins us from the sunny state of Florida where she attended the University of Florida and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. She decided to remain at the Gator Nation and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry graduating in the top 10% of her class. She then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY where her advanced training allowed her to further her clinical knowledge to provide the best possible care for her patients. Dr. Apana is passionate about dentistry and how she can connect with her patients by giving them a beautiful and healthy smile. She takes the time to get to know her patients one-on-one, helping them to make informed choices about their dental health. She strives to provide the highest level of treatment, including crown and bridge restorations, root canal therapy, implant restorations, the latest in cosmetic dental procedures, and Invisalign therapy. While most dental procedures are routine, Dr. Apana understands that each patient’s level of comfort needs to be addressed by providing the options of nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Because she demands the best for her patients, she is continually furthering her clinical education by learning new technologies and techniques aimed at providing the highest quality of care. She also maintains an active membership in the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society and DC Dental Society. In her free time, Dr. Apana enjoys exploring the greater DC/VA/MD area and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys traveling, cooking/baking and reading suspense novels.

I came for an emergency visit because my dentist was unavailable.I really enjoyed the friendly, cheerful environment. Dr. Apana was professional, clear, and accommodating- getting multiple services done in one visit so I wouldn't have to come back. I already called my former dentist and had my x-rays and record sent over!

Make sure the schedule a cleaning as well as an exam. I only signed up for an exam, but they were able to fit me in anyway. I just had to wait a little bit.

My first visit was great! I was really nervous and the staff and Dr. Apana made me feel comfortable. The office was clean, staff friendly and Dr. Apana was very thorough and explained my proposed treatment and all of my options. These people are great!
