Lisa took X-rays of my mouth and did an excellent job with the cleaning. Dr. Alexa examined my mouth and laid out the treatment plan to fix my teeth. I’ll definitely come back to finish my treatment and highly recommend this dental office!

Dr. Alexa Gruber was raised on Lake Hopatcong, in northwestern New Jersey. She attended the University of Richmond where she graduated with cum laude honors and degrees in Public Health and Biology with a Medical Humanities Concentration. She continued on to Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While at VCU, she served as a lead coordinator for Missions of Mercy, completed a senior selective in Advanced Prosthodontics, a mentorship in Oral Medicine and received awards from the Academy of Oral Medicine and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Following dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey.
During her hospital-based residency program, she received advanced training in treatment of complex dental cases, management of medically compromised patients and patients with special health care needs, oral surgical procedures, pediatric dentistry, root canals, digital dentistry, dental implants and esthetic procedures. She had extensive training in treatment and management of patients with dental trauma in the emergency room as well as clearance for medical and surgical procedures. She is committed to continue advancing her training through continued education each year in order to provide her patients with the best possible care.
Dr. Gruber is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Tri-County Dental Society, New Jersey Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association. She is involved as a volunteer with Mission of Mercy and The Boys and Girls Club of Newark. She plans to continue to give back to her community through these organizations and hopes to be involved with their growth in the future. She also plans to join staff at Morristown Medical Center.
In her free time, Dr. Gruber enjoys spending time with family (and the other Dr. Gruber), being at the lake, traveling, hiking, biking and sailing with her husband, Doug. Dr. Alexa Gruber is very excited to meet you and hopes to work with you in the future!
