She elected to further specialize, obtaining her Periodontology Certificate and Master of Science Degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Dentistry at Houston, TX. Dr. Speer takes pleasure in dental research, with her main interests focused on periodontal regenerative procedures, dental implants, and the interrelationship between periodontal disease and systemic diseases. Dr. Speer has several articles published, including in the high impact international Journal of Periodontal Research and has lectured nationally and internationally.
She is an active member of the International Team of Implantology (ITI), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS), the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), and the Southwest Society of Periodontists (SWSP). Dr. Speer is currently serving in the Membership Committee for the DCDS and SWSP.
On a personal note, Dr. Speer is married to Robert, a native from Texas, and they have a son, Blake.

I am a regular at this office. I know everyone in the office, and everyone knows me. It's almost a family environment. Going to the dentist is never fun, but Dr. Speer and staff makes the experience pleasurable.

I am a patient of Dr. Aline Speer at Highland Park Perio. From my first visit, I was very impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Speer and her staff. I had a complicated and extensive oral surgery lasting 4 1/2 hours. Dr. Speer described in detail what she
would be doing during the surgery and what to expect during the weeks of my recovery. Through my many follow-up appointments, I never had to wait and seen promptly. Every staff member knew why I was there and prepared for my visit. In my opinion, Dr. Speer is an excellent and very informed physician. I am grateful she is my doctor. I
would highly recommend her to anyone. Dr. Speer's expertise in periodontics is of a caliber very rarely seen. She is an asset to the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and to all periodontal patients fortunate to have her as
their doctor. Additionally, if you want the best teeth cleaning possible, see Dr. Speer's dental hygienist, Mary. She has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years and is superb.
