Dr. Horowitz graduated from University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 1978. He has been an active member of the American Dental Association since that time. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and locally a Member of the Valley Forge Study Club.
In addition to being in private practice in King of Prussia for over 30 years ago, he has a very extensive teaching background as a Part Time Faculty Member and Instructor at the University Of Pennsylvania S.D.M . As a Member of the Greater Philadelphia Dental Seminars in recent years and a co-author of published articles in both the JADA and Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry; Dr. Horowitz is committed to higher education in the most innovative practices of dental medicine.
Dr. Horowitz places great importance on continuing his education in the field of dentistry and has been an active PEARL Network Practitioner Investigator since the program’s inception in 2006. Sponsored by the National Institute of Health, the Pearl Network focuses on adding to an established knowledge base, using evidence based dentistry not only to help dentistry respond to changes in technology but to move the practice of dentistry forward based on research and the patients needs.

Nice guy and very friendly staff, but the appointment took two hours for a checkup and cleaning. After my initial checkup, I was left sitting in the chair for nearly 45 minutes before Dr. Horowitz returned to complete the cleaning. And then while doing the cleaning, carried on a conversation with the hygienist about her fish - pausing for minutes at a time to sit and listen, as I sat there waiting for them to do something! I wasted my entire morning for an appointment that could have been completed in about an hour.
