She loves getting to know her patients beyond their oral healthcare needs and working with them to come up with the best options for not only their dental needs, but also for their overall wellness. She understands that patients entrust her to make the best decisions for their oral health. This trust is not taken for granted. Each patient’s personal goals for their oral health are different; understanding this and then tailoring care to their unique needs is what Dr. Lakhani loves most about her profession.
Dr. Lakhani is a firm believer in lifelong learning. According to Dr. Lakhani, “Continuing education allows me to say up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry and to serve my patients to the best of my ability. By continuing my education I am able to constantly learn different techniques that provide my patients with multiple options to meet their needs.” It is for this reason that she continues to seek out the latest innovative techniques in order to serve her patients with the best cutting edge care.
In her free time, Dr. Lakhani enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, and personalizing recipes according to her family and friends’ tastes. When she is not in the office or experimenting in the kitchen, you may find her traveling or exploring new local restaurant with her boyfriend and friends. Dr. Lakhani quips that she became a dentist to counteract her own sweet tooth!
Dr. Lakhani is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Gujarati, and is working on mastering “Spanglish.”
