When I was young, I used to volunteer at local nursing homes. The experience of helping the elderly and caring for them, fostered a sense of happiness which would carry through my entire life. When I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University, I worked in a fast-paced Emergency Room. For five years, I was part of a team that saved many lives. Although this was a rewarding career choice, I found my true calling was still to come, and explored many medical professions before I chose dentistry. I attended Indiana University, graduating with a DDS degree. Dentistry is the only field in which I can combine my altruistic nature with my artistic and mechanical skills. Using cutting edge technology, I help people of all ages achieve and maintain a healthy smile. I get a true sense of pride knowing my work helps you eat, smile, and live a more beautiful life. I consider myself lucky. Very few people get to love their jobs, and even less get to have a job they are passionate about. Going to the dentist is not always a fun time, but these guys are amazing! First off, the staff up front is nice and friendly...plus there's a DOG that hangs out around the front!! It was amazing. The staff member that did my X-Rays (Baxter) was super friendly and very patient with my extra tiny mouth. The dentist was amazing, and he cleaned my teeth himself! I have never had an actual dentist do my cleaning, always a dental hygienist. There is something to be said for the great service you get at this dentist.

I found Dr. Trivedi to be condescending and insensitive. He commented on the poor state of my teeth while looking in my mouth. With the exam room door open he loudly announced my past trouble with an eating disorder was likely the cause of my advanced decay. I was humiliated. I made the appointment for a teeth cleaning, but left with only x-rays. It was a waste of an afternoon, and I now have to make a second appointment with another dentist.

Best dental appointment I have ever had and I get anxious when going to the dentist. Dr. Trivedi was very friendly and kind. He provided such good information that I didn't have many questions. He provided a treatment plan that is necessary and will help to improve my dental health. The office staff was amazing as well. Very genuine and down to earth. It was a very pleasant experience. Mushroom (I think is his name) the pup was also great! He needs a raise :-) This was my first dental experience in 3-4 years and it outdid any previous experience I have had with other dental offices. Also...no long wait, which is huge when you fear the dentist!

Let me start off by saying I hate dentists. I've been in and out of hospitals my entire life, poked and prodded everywhere, and I never have a problem with it except when I go to the dentist! I was incredibly anxious going to Dr. Trivedi, but both the doctor himself and the super sweet assistant (I can't remember her name) made sure I felt comfortable and aware of everything that was going on. They set up Netflix and gave me a pair of nice headphones to wear while they were fixing a broken tooth, and they also took the time to explain to me what was going on with my other teeth even though I was just there for that one that was broken. I'm still anxious about having my mouth messed with, but I feel better knowing that Dr. Trivedi will be the one to take care of me.

Had a new patient appointment with Dr. Trivedi and was really happy and impressed with the time he spent with me. He went over my x-rays and photos of my teeth, explaining in-depth what needed to be addressed, and then talked me through how diet and lifestyle could help my dental hygiene as well. I'm no stranger to dentists but this was the most in-depth and thorough appointment I've ever had. I am appreciative of Dr. Trivedi for taking so much time to make sure I understood what he was treating, and why.

I was looking for a new dentist in the Austin area, and saw that Dr. Trivedi was running a special for teeth whitening for brides. This promotion got me, so I scheduled a cleaning. The office was nice, everyone was polite, but the biggest issue I had was that my "Dental Cleaning" was not a cleaning at all. It was a consultation. I was x-rayed and examined, and given a treatment plan and then told to schedule my cleaning and once I had completed part of the treatment plan, THEN I would be given the whitening trays. This was not as advertised and I was shocked when I realized I wasn't getting a cleaning. I was never notified or told that no work would be done. Certainly a disappointment. I left feeling a bit scammed and very uneasy. I totally understand the need to consult with new patients, but I do not understand why no one told me that this was exclusively a consult. Will not return, would not recommend.

I am VERY LEERY of dentists. I have had SO MANY IN THE PAST be COMPLETELY AWFUL. The dentist was AMAZING, as was his dental assistant. I will never go anywhere else. They were kind, and understanding of everything that I have been through. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of bull, or empty my wallet. I am SO GRATEFUL for these people. I HIGHLY recommend them to EVERYONE, including my own friends and family. They will take great care of you. I even hugged the assistant when I left, because I was so grateful for them.

I will start by saying that I don't like the dentist. I just don't. I haven't been to the dentist in 2 years because I don't feel comfortable with dentists. Dr. Trevedi just made it dramatically worse!!! Not only did I spend about 2 hours in his office, I did not get my teeth cleaned AT ALL. I left his office on the verge of tears and cried on my way back to work after being belittled about my teeth and the fact that I used to drink sodas, which have eaten away the enamel on some of my teeth, etc. AND a bill for THREE MORE appointments (at a ridiculous price for a single mom!!). Who has time for that? And I certainly don't have that kind of money! I did not appreciate the approach of having a zoomed in version of every tooth in my head put up on a screen in front of my face so they could show me in detail everything they were attaching dollar signs to! Also, their advertisement was for free teeth whitening treatments for life for brides. I discussed this when I arrived for my appointment and DID NOT receive the whitening trays. I was actually excited about this dentist appointment! It's 10 minutes from my office and free teeth whitening! What a disaster and a total waste of my time!! I find it unprofessional and unacceptable that Dr. Trevedi makes his clients feel bad about their teeth! No wonder I talk to so many people who hate the dentist!

I have high anxiety about going to the dentist. Everyone, from the receptionist to the dental assistant to the dentist, was so nice and friendly and helpful. The assistant explained what she was going to do, take x-rays, and told me that if I needed a break at any time, for any reason to let her know. As the dentist reviewed the x-rays, I watched Netflix for a short time. The dentist came in, introduced himself and went right to work. He examined my teeth and took pictures of them. He showed me the x-rays and the pictures of my teeth. He explained what was wrong and told me what I could do to help stop what was going on. He set a plan and an order of how it needed to be done. We talked about how most Hollywood stars teeth are perfect because of veneers, implants, etc. He asked if I had any questions and told me if/when I had questions to not hesitate to ask. At checkout, I got a folder with the pictures of my teeth along with the dental work involved in my plan and information about what my specific insurance covers. I really felt at ease and didn't hesitate to book my next appointment. Highly recommended to anyone with anxiety or fear associated with going to the dentist!

I have been looking for a dentist since I moved to Austin from Chicago, 2-3 years ago. The entire experience has been great so far, from Christina calling to make sure she had my insurance information and to call back to let me know exactly what my insurance will cover to Margarets calm manner that made me feel at ease through the entire visit. I loved how Dr. Trivedi sat and explained my X-rays and pictures of my teeth. He patiently explained things and made sure I completely understood the process. I also loved being able to watch TV while getting my cleaning. Everyone made me feel welcomed and at ease.

From first meeting and chatting with Dr. Trivedi, I knew I was in good hands. He was very thorough in providing education, even if it includes some of the things you don't want to hear, like recommending you cut back on your coffee intake. I like that he is so up front about everything and honest (as his business name implies). Dr. Trivedi has excellent bedside manner and also a great sense of humor, which I think are due to his background in ER nursing (but I may be a bit biased being a nurse myself). He did the teeth cleaning himself, which I was pleased with because he was very fast and efficient. For those who have a dentist phobia, relax. I had composite fillings done on my second visit, and I did not experience ANY pain. My teeth have been misaligned throughout my life, and Dr. Trivedi was able to get them near perfectly aligned with the placement of my composites, which has helped to reduce my TMJ pain to nearly a nonexistent level. If you provide your insurance information in advance, they will give you an accurate estimate of what is covered and how much you will be paying out of pocket. As of today's date, I have not received any surprise bills, which is always a relief! Dr. Trivedi's staff is also very pleasant and friendly. I have already told many people to go here, and now after having lived in TX for 6 years, I have finally found my dentist I will be sticking with for years to come.

He was able to provide some insight into various dental issues I have been struggling with. I left the dental office feeling more confident in my dental health than I have in a long time. Was very straightforward with what the issues were, how they can be addressed, and how they likely happened. Planning on sticking with this dentist for as long as possible.

My visit to Honest Family Dental was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was pretty awesome. He takes pictures of your teeth and shows you what is wrong with them, walks you through his methods, and let's you know how you can take better care of your teeth. With the pictures you don't feel like you're being taken for a ride. Like why should I trust you that I need a new filling? And then he shows me pictures of all my teeth. Then points out where the old filling or sealant was and the decay and cavities that have grown around (and under!) where my enamel and fillings used to be. Gross stuff. Anyway he got rid of it and put in new fillings in a way where there aren't any crevices for plaque and bacteria to "hide" in. Very friendly staff, they let me come in on a day when they're usually closed because my insurance was going to switch over to a new one and I wasn't sure they'd be on the new plan. Also, super bonus is that you can watch Netflix while you're in the chair. It gets too loud to really hear what's going on but it's much better than staring into a really bright light for an hour or so. Plus you can turn on sub titles. I'm sure I missed something here but overall, it was a nice visit as far as going to the dentist can be (especially when you haven't been in over a year).

Dr. Trivedi saved me! I came to him for a dental emergency while on a business trip. He and his staff were incredibly kind and helpful, were able to see me right away and did an excellent job of talking me through my options. He even followed up after the appointment to see how I was feeling. His office is top notch, from the x-ray machine that is actually hand-held and doesn't require those heavy lead blankets, as well as Netflix on tv if you want to watch from the dentist chair. I would highly recommend Dr. Trivedi and his team if you want a dentist who provides excellent care with state of the art equipment.

Had a few issues with my teeth but Dr. Trivedi took the time to really discuss it with me and made sure I understood. Very disappointed with my visit as a new patient starting with the office manager who called to remind me about my appointment at 6pm the day before and was blaming me for not giving some insurance information even after I had completed the new patient form 3 weeks before my scheduled visit. I'm still unsure of what she actually needed from me, but she definitely had all the information she needed. Overall, it was not a great personality fit - Dr. Trivedi berated me about drinking a cup of coffee a day and continuously insulted the state where I was born and raised, knowing that I was from there. At one point he asked me which state - North or South Carolina was more hillbilly and if I knew what the plaque scaler tool was - because clearly I knew nothing being from North Carolina. Also, I found it odd that x-rays were taken but at no point were they reviewed by the dentist, and the actual cleaning portion of my visit came after the dentist looked at my teeth. The one positive is that they had a nice office, but I definitely won't be going back!
