Ana Arruda, DMD, MSD, was born in Ribeirão Preto, a city in the heart of São Paulo in Brazil. After moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan during her childhood, she went on to Case Western Reserve University to begin her educational journey and play collegiate soccer. Dr. Arruda received her undergraduate and graduate education from Case Western Reserve University through the Pre-Professional Scholars Program, earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She continued her education with two and a half additional years of specialty training in orthodontics at Saint Louis University.
During her orthodontic residency, Dr. Arruda completed a Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Fellowship at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital and conducted research on white spot lesions in orthodontics, receiving a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.
