I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist and when I went to this office I felt like I was instantly taken care of. They walked me through every step of the process, they were clear about that they were doing and why, they let me ask questions, and they were so patient with me while I collected myself after I got really nervous. Everyone in the office is so friendly. I can’t say I love going there because I just don’t like any dentist visit but I like this office in particular and trust them.

Andrew D. Lyons II, DDS is a unique kind of dentist. His philosophy is to make sure the patient has a better stress free dental experience. He takes the gentle approach and actively listens so he can best understand your particular needs. He believes that by providing valuable patient education it will ease any concerns you may have. He strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using his skilled training in the latest advances in dental technology.
A North Carolina native, Dr. Lyons grew up in Raleigh. He attended North Carolina Central University where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. Following graduation, Dr. Lyons completed a General Practice Residency Program at John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He maintains membership in American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and North Carolina Dental Society.
He is married to his lovely wife, Joya Lyons, DDS whom he met in dental school. Dr. Joya Lyons expects to join the practice in the near future. Dr. Lyons and his wife welcomed their beautiful daughter, Brielle in February. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, fitness, and travel.

Dr. Lyons and his staff are always great! I recommend this office to all my coworkers and I have been very pleased with the care I've received. Even when my babysitter cancelled last minute and I had to bring along my 5 year old son, they were so nice and understanding. It was greatly appreciated and I'm a so glad that I continue to receive care at this office.

My children are 6 & 7. They are hesitant about any kind of doctor appointment. They have told family members about their trip to the dentist. My daughter even started that she wanted to be s dentist when she grew up. The experience was great all around.

It was wonderful. Doctor Lyons and his wife have taken great care of me the times that I have been there. They explain everything about my teeth and what they are going to do so that I can understand and not be scared. I would recommend them to everybody I know that needs a dentist even the ones that already have a dentist. I appreciate them.

Dr. Lyons is the best dentist I have ever seen. I have never been treated so well and with so much care and respect by a dental business. He and the entire staff at Smile Savvy are amazing. The facility is beautifully decorated and they have all the latest technology. I just can't say enough about them. This was my daughters very 1st appointment with a dentist. She was scared a little nervous...but the staff was absolutely wonderful!! I was able to go back with her and the spoke to us both about the procedure & the things that they were doing. They really were great at making her comfortable and that helped me also! My youngest daughter even wanted an exam!! I highly recomnend this office!!

I am very impressed! Dr. Lyons took the time to personally review my X-rays with me and go over my treatment needs. I have never gotten service like this directly from the doctor. The office staff's professionalism - was a direct reflection of the doctor. I walked in- greeted with smiles- they knew my name- really impressive. I sat down ready to pass the time with my phone - couldn't send ONE text because someone came to bring me back. One minute later - the doctor was telling me about my upcoming procedure. I was 5 mins late - never again. They respect your time and have earned my respect!

The office was really nice and all of the people were very friendly. When you get something done, they have a small TV for you to watch Netflix on so you can choose whatever you are interested in. Very cool place and first impression for sure! Check them out!
