Dr. Abdulla's holistic approach to dental care has earned her a reputation as a highly trusted Orange County dentist. As a SMART certified dentist and a member of the IAOMT (International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology), she has received specialized training in using the safest techniques for amalgam filling removal while avoiding contamination from mercury vapors. Metal amalgam fillings are commonly used to treat cavities, but when they are removed from the tooth they emit a potentially toxic vapor containing mercury and other harmful chemicals.
Dr. Abdulla uses the safest amalgam filling removal techniques, including a safe and effective chelating oral rinse to protect patients from mercury absorption during the removal process. After the oral rinse, rubber dams are used to isolate the tooth and a Hepa dental vacuum is used to remove the filling in chunks. The mercury vapor is suctionied directly into the vacuum while patients to breath non contaminated air outside air source, and an amalgam separator prevents contamination on the water system and the environment with toxic mercury.
Composite Fillings Are a Safe, Non-Toxic Alternative to Amalgam Fillings:
After the old mercury filling has been removed, Dr. Abdulla replaces it with a composite filling that is made from biocompatible, non-toxic filling material. Besides being safer for the patient, the new filling will more closely match the natural color of the original tooth enamel. Composite fillings also bond directly to the tooth, and, unlike other types of fillings, harden completely in just a few minutes.

They referred me to a specialist who does not work with my insurance plan. What a waste of my time. Totally useless. Charged me a full office visit to peek inside my mouth and tell me I needed a Root Canal, which they don’t do. Less than 5 minutes total in the chair, just to refer me to a specialist that is of no value. I hope she does better in her sleep center than she does in her Dental care.
