I was born and raised in southern California of two immigrant Vietnamese parents. I attended undergraduate university at the University of California Riverside and majored in Biology. During college was when I decided to pursue a career of dentistry after shadowing a local dentist. After college, I moved to New York City to study dentistry and attended NYU Dental School. Upon graduation in 2007, I completed a one-year residency treating a variety of complex cases in a hospital setting at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center of New York Medical College.
Being a true Californian at heart, I moved back home after dental school and began practicing dentistry. I eventually had a practice to call my own after I took over for a retiring dentist/mentor that I had worked for many years. To my preference, it happened very organically. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and I’m very meticulous by nature, sometimes even to a fault. I have an easygoing, friendly personality but I take my dentistry very seriously. Dentistry is my passion and I constantly strive to deliver an honest, open approach to dentistry. Establishing relationships with all my patients and educating them about dentistry in order to provide long lasting dental health is of utmost importance. I understand that getting dental work isn’t easy and I work hard to provide high quality dentistry in a caring and comfortable environment.
In my spare time, I enjoy a multitude of things. I’m very much an outdoors person and you can often find me hiking in the spring, at the beach during the summers and snowboarding in the winter. I enjoy traveling, music and a good book. As a die-hard Lakers fan since childhood, I watch nearly every game. I do also enjoy playing the guitar though I never seem to have the time to practice. All in all, I try to go out and enjoy what the world and life has to offer except when I’m not focusing on dentistry.

Very pleasant first visit. Nice and friendly staff. I was seen right away. I didn't have the hassle of filling out New Patient forms since I already completed it via ZocDoc. I really appreciate that they stayed open a little later on Tuesdays so that I could come after work. Even though I was the last patient of the day, the dentist and oral hygienist took their time and were thorough. They were gentle and made me feel at ease. I may have started out with clenched fists. But I quickly became relaxed as they examined and cleaned my teeth. They had enjoyable bedside manners. I definitely recommend this dental office.

The is the nicest dentist office I've ever been to. The staff is so friendly & Dr. Nguyen really takes his time to explain things & make you feel comfortable. Even tho my family recently moved to Riverside, we still make the drive to see Dr. Nguyen!
