Barvette and Dr. Hearns are incredible! They talk through everything they're seeing and doing. Barvette is the first hygienist to teach me how to properly brush and floss to prevent gum and enamel damage. She teaches in a very caring way. Truly looking forward to my next appt in 6 months!

Dr. Hearns is a native of Indiana. She received a B.A. degree in biology from Fisk University; Nashville, TN. She is also a graduate of Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, Nashville, TN. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 1998, Dr. Hearns completed a general practice residency program at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Dayton, OH. Dr. Hearns continued her education by completing a second general practice residency program at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. In this program, she served as one of two chief residents. Since completing her residency programs, Dr. Hearns has worked in academia, public health, corporate and private practice. Dr. Hearns is a graduate of the American Dental Association Diversity in Leadership Program. She is also an alumnus of the National Health Service Corps.

She and her staff were absolutely wonderful! I didn't know what to expect but they were extremely patient and comforting with my fear of going to the dentist. She is a little distant from my resident and there are other dentists in my area, but she is worth the drive. I will continue to visit her office for my dental work and will pass the word on to friends and family about her services!

Dr. Hearns is awesome! In fact, the entire dental team is great. I felt very comfortable and at ease. Dr. Hearns is very caring. She took time to completely explain my treatment. The office is beautiful, with up to date equipment. I had a wonderful experience.
