Dr Azar Boujaran is great. The first time I came to her I was anxious about treatment for a chipped tooth. She explained everything to me, calmed me down. I appreciated her preserving the structure of my natural tooth. Consequently, when I had a recent issue, I immediately booked back in with her as I trust her treatment plan. Very good dentist and a lovely staff team - highly recommended

Dr. Azar Boujaran is a general dentist with special emphasis on cosmetic procedures. Dr. Boujaran is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry as well as American Dental Association. She is also an alumni of The Kois Center of advanced dentistry through science.
She attended New York University School of Dentistry. During her time at NYU she was chosen to perform an externship at the Panum University in Copenhagen, Denmark. She was then selected for a residency at the Kings Borough Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Boujaran continually strives to be on the cutting edge of dentistry both from a technical skill level as well as a personal level. She believes that treating teeth is only part of the whole dental picture. The bigger and more important part is treating the patient as a whole and giving patients a positive overall experience. She strongly believes in creating a dental team to offer the highest quality and technical dentistry available. Creating a positive dental experience no matter what the patient has experienced in the past. To this end, she has completed the Level 1 Continuum at the Pankey Institute and is the founder of the Tooth Fairy Studio. She is also certified in Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Boujaran started the Tooth Fairy Studio with the idea that creating a positive dental experience starts at the youngest possible age. Children should not have a fear of going to the dentist which manifests itself throughout their life. Dr. Boujaran is also specializing in using the Pain Pen, it offers natural pain relief.

The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The hygienist brought me back to the room immediately and did a very thorough job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Azar boujaran -Ghomi was very kind and examined my teeth. Highly recommend this dentist and office if you are looking for a new dentist downtown.

Scheduled appointment due to an old crown that had fallen out. I was able to be seen the following day without delay.
Fortunately, the crown was able to be re-cemented in, and the total time in office was less than 30 minutes!
This was my first visit with Dr. Boujaran, and I found her to be extremely pleasant, professional and competent.
Entire office staff was friendly and the office was clean and organized.

Everything about the visit was fine, but the office was very misleading regarding billing. They did not indicate that they were not in-network for me and charged an absurd amount (much more than they claimed they were going to charge) for a straightforward descaling. I will not be returning here. BE CAREFUL with what they tell you about pricing!

An awesome (almost) all-female office! Everyone in the office from front desk to hygienist to the dentist herself was kind, very helpful, and professional (and it doesn’t hurt that Dr B is clearly a former beauty queen, too, haha).

Not only were the facilities modern yet inviting, the the entire team displayed resourcefulness, offering helpful recommendations to accompany primary and secondary diagnoses. I’m returning for the execellent treatment, but even more for the great team that makes it happen!

I love this whole office!!! Dr. B is amazing. She's so caring and takes so much time with me every visit. I recently had my wisdom teeth out with Dr. Sergei who was incredible and put me at east the whole time. I have stayed with this practice throughout changing insurance/jobs etc. - I always ask them which new insurance they take before deciding on my new plan instead of the other way around! Michelle is amazing and answers my many inquiries immediately. I highly recommend everyone there- it is so nice to have a go-to dentist in NYC!

Dr B. and her staff are incredibly professional and are super friendly and warm. I found Dr B. after searching for an office that had evening hours, was close to my job, and could do a series of procedures: I wanted to get my wisdom teeth removed, invisalign, and my routine cleanings all at one place. Dr B and her staff do it all.
The wisdom extraction was tricky but she did it as gently as she could and provided me with breaks during the procedure to calm my nerves. When it was all over, it healed nicely with little to no pain.
My invisalign process has been going well. She had to glue buttons on many of my teeth for the invisalign to work properly. When I informed her about my upcoming wedding, she made a plan to make sure my smile was perfect for my big day. A few days before my wedding, she removed the buttons and bleached my teeth. I was so happy I didn't have to worry about my smile; my teeth were as white as my gown. After my wedding, she put the buttons back on and I resumed the trays.
The dental hygienist is also very thorough, she shows me ways to improve my oral care and even puts Vaseline on my lips before the cleaning which is such a nice touch. The goody bags are great too!
Appointments are easy to remember because you'll get reminder texts, and I've never had an issue with billing. I've been a patient of Dr B's for over a year. I definitely recommend!!

Was quoted for an expensive procedure -- which was only explained to me on a phone call the day before said appointment was scheduled. The dentist nor front desk explained the suggested procedure, or the associated costs, at all when I was in the office for my initial consultation. When I asked the dentist why no one had brought this up during my visit, she said "the front desk should have told you." I was shocked by the whole experience, and have since found another great dentist elsewhere.

Professional, both hygienist and doctor Boujaran. They used a diff cleaning technique. They should explain to patients what it is before doing. They should also find a way to cover the face and just keep the moth exposed so there is less mess. But the technique is effective. Dr is not the softest person but she instills confidence and is kind (just not soft). I would have given higher ratings w a little more explanation but i am going to make her my dentist going forward.

I went to see Dr. Boujaran-Ghomi for the first time Aug 2016. The staff was very friend and very informative. I did not wait to be seen at all. Justin was my dental hygienist. He recommended helpful products and even gave me some samples. Dr identified a deep cavity my former dentist had missed and she was able to care for it right away. I did not have to make a follow up appointment. She will definitely remain my primary dentist.

The good is good, the bad is super bad.
Had a cleaning done by Rob the hygienist - great bedside manner, very insightful into dental hygiene tips/answering questions, very thorough cleaning, etc. Modern equipment with cameras, xray on chair, etc.
Saw the doctor, who was great in person - super personable, seems to care a lot...
Turns out I have a cavity that needs a root canal + crown. Saw the x-ray myself, and even saw the camera image of the hole at the bottom of my teeth. Fine. Scheduled a root canal for the same week Friday.
Ask to get an estimate with my insurance before the procedure...
I have great dental insurance. But after my dental paying an extremely generous amount upwards of a thousand+, they estimated another 4x insurance amount out of pocket. That is absolutely ridiculous. I told them that, and all they said was that a payment plan could be set up to make it more affordable.
Fine for a cleaning, but crooked with pricing.

Quotes me for a large sum worth of dental work that was done for me for one third the price at another dentist. When I received the significantly lower price quote from 2 other dentists, the staff at Tribeca dental was very rude to me when I asked then why their prices were so high.

1. Appointment was made on Zocdoc, was for 11 am. Got a call at 10 am asking me where i was. They got the time wrong.
2. Doctor is nice, but the bills afterwards were eye popping, and i had insurance issues since i ended up getting charged a copay for what is usually a part of my plan (just a regular 6 month exam + cleaning + xray). My insurance firm clarified that since the charges for cleaning and the xray were higher than the average for the zipcode, i had to cover the rest and hence the copay.
3. I searched for a CIGNA network dentist, and zocdoc had this doctor in the results. Turns out this dentist is not in network with CIGNA. Please double check before you go

Like many people, I've had a fear of dentists since I was a kid but this fear is starting to lessen because of Dr. Azar Boujaran-Ghomi and her team especially her super informative and sweet Hygenist! I was given a deep cleaning and can absolutely see the difference. Love this Dentist, definitely recommend going here!
