Dr. Azar is a highly skilled dentist with more than 24 years of training in general dentistry, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She received her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the prestigious University of Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Shiraz Medical University in Iran.
She has extensive experience in general dentistry, crowns, bridges, RCT, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, extractions, non-surgical periodontal treatments, partial and full dentures, and is certified in Invisalign care.
Dr. Azar is a member of Tau Kappa Omega, honor dental society, a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
In her personal time, Dr. Azar enjoys spending time with her family and her two daughters. A local resident of the community, she enjoys reading, traveling, movies, and swimming. She is fluent in speaking, writing and reading Farsi.

Very professional team. Dr Mahmoudi and her assistants look at what is right for the patient. I was referred to Dr Mahmoudi by a friend for a second opinion because my previous dentist insisted in having a root canal and a crown for my tooth, when Dr Mahmoudi, checked it , she said that I had a deep cavity , but a filing will be enough, she worked on my tooth for over an hour, it was painless experience and now I do not feel any pain. She saved thousands of dollars. I would highly recommend Azarmidokht Mahmoudi, DDS.

My first visit was for a new patient exam so it was a great introduction to the office staff and to get a sense of how the practice operates. The staff was friendly throughout the intake process and Dr, Mahmoudi was patient in answering my questions about the types of services I'll need and how to prioritize them. After I received my recommended services, I was able to speak with the receptionist about insurance coverage and such. Overall, I felt very comfortable in the environment and felt they were providing me with useful information to establish a regular care routine.

I was looking for a new dentist and I found a deal for cleaning, x-ray, and check up on Grupon.com and thought I'll give it a shot. I wasn't disappointed. The office is really clean and lovely and all the staff including the doctor herself are wonderful people. The service is very personalized and you don't feel like you are just one of many patients. I got my first appointment few days after I called and I was glad that I could be seen so soon. All my questions answered and all my concerns were listened to. I do hope I won't need and dental work done for a while, but when I will I know where to go!

It is a pleasure to visit Dr. Azar Mahmoudi's office. The staff are wonderfully considerate and helpful. Plus the office is picture perfect! This was my second visit today 10/14. Questions are answered and you just feel "well cared for".
I've lived in San Ramon for 38 years and this is the best Dr. and office I've been to.

Usually I am a very apprehensive and nervous patient but since finding Pur dentistry, things have changed. My visit with Dr.Azar for a crown was great, her and the assistant are very friendly.The environment of the office is calm and high tech. Dr. Azar has gentle hands and was always checking to see how I was doing. Would recommend to anyone who gets nervous to see a dentist.

Well, she doesn't want to pay for daycare so her office is an office/daycare... and she stopped in the middle of the appointment to attend to her screaming and crying kids... not good.
Also, still need to verify this, but she says I have three cavities when just 8 months ago, I had a full panel of x-rays and had no cavities or even signs of them... I'll definitely have to get a second opinion on this appointment.
