Dr. Knowles-Fenning is the consummate professional. I've always been seen at the time of my scheduled appointment, which is extremely rare with medical professionals these day. She's always made sure that I understood what the procedure(s) she was performing entailed before starting, and does her best to make sure you're comfortable throughout. I don't generally go around recommending professionals, but I have a hard time believing there are many (if any) that could do a better job all around. A+++

Dr. Knowles-Fenning did a surgical implant for me last week. I had absolutely no pain--she is always very sympathetic to my pain level and she is a real pro when it comes to novacain. During the procedure she was methodical and calm as she and her assistant, Diane, worked and they were very attentive to me and what I was feeling. When I left, she gave me at-home instructions and called me that night to find out how I was doing. I went for a follow up visit today to see how the surgical site was healing and, not surprising, it's healing up great. I am more and more relaxed when I go to Dr. Knowles-Fenning because I'm so confident she will do a good, painless job. She is topnotch!

Dr Knowles was so gentle, as I was so terrified of the procedure I was having, but I didn't feel a thing while I was there ! She is super knowledgeable and I would recommend her to anyone in need of a periodontist. Her staff as well were just wonderful !

I will start by saying Dr Fenning was very nice and I was pleased with my check up and the exam room was clean and neat. That being said the beginning part of the visit was beyond weird. So weird I instinctively wanted to turn and leave while waiting 15 minutes for a receptionist to appear. The waiting room and reception area reeked of old stale cigarette smoke. The receptionist handed me a clipboard to fill out my medical history but I told her that I filled it out on ZocDoc. She checked and an unshaven man dressed in disheveled work clothes who also reeked of cigarettes came out and said I needed to print them. I showed him my confirmation text from ZocDoc to remind them my records were done. THe man insisted that wasn't allowed. I also told him that I found the office on Angie's List and he said that was all illegal and that he had nothing to do with Angie's List. (Shaking my head wondering who is this man). Eventually a very nice office assistant that actually knew what was going on found my paperwork but said I still had to fill out theirs because it required more detail. The good news was my checkup was good and thankfully won't have to return. Not sure I would anyway.

I wish she could be my dentist, my PCP, etc. She is explains procedures very well, she's a great listener when there are problems, she makes herself available by phone outside of office hours and is quick to respond to problems. Besides that, I just really like her, she's a good person!

Dr. Knowles-Fenning was extremely sensitive to my concerns and my comfort. She also extremely knowledgeable and I am confident she is giving me the best care possible. Dr. Knowles-Fenning is very forthcoming about what she is doing, why she needs to do it, and what the outcome will be. She has a friendly manner, easy to communicate with. In addition, her staff person, Erica, is equally friendly, easy to communicate with, and very quick to answer questions and accommodate my needs when scheduling appointments. Erica and Dr. Knowles-Fenning have a very good, efficient working relationship that is very calming.

Without a doubt, i highly recommend Dr. Barbara. She is fabulous and her staff is on the ball and courteous.
Oral surgery is not easy.
However, Dr. B is always punctual, competent, and thorough. In addition, and very importantly, Dr. Barbara goes out of her way to show you kindness. She is very gentle, compassionate and personable, too. I have been a patient for nearly three years now and have always had great results with any procedure that she has had to perform.
