Dr. Martin was born in Ogden, Utah and raised in Mesa, Arizona with his 6 siblings. He later served a 2 year mission for his church in British Columbia at the age 19. Upon returning Dr. Brett Martin became a custom home builder and owner of a concrete company for 7 years before deciding to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Brett Martin graduated from Arizona State University and later A.T. Still University of Dental and Oral Health.
Dr. Martin was married in 2002 and now has 4 beautiful children ages 12, 10, 9, 4. He moved to Austin, Texas in July 2014 for a new life adventure and plans to raise his family here.
Dr. Martin serves on the Dental Board of Clinics for the foundation, One Life at a Time. Dr. Martin is one of the founding dentists in establishing 2 operating dental clinics in Honduras. One in Tegucigalpa and the other in San Pedro Sul. These clinics are currently still operating, helping thousands of wonderful people in those cities. He has completed 6 dental service missions.

The Office Staff and Dr. Martin go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at ease as much as possible. They very patient, kind and understanding of all of my apprehension and outright fear. The took things slow which for someone like myself who suffers from extreme anxiety and "white coat syndrome" makes the difference of whether I can remain calm enough to make it through an appointment. Dr. Martin did not rush his exam and spent the time to come up with a treatment plan that would give me the best overall longer lasting result to benefit both the health of my mouth and my appearance. Thank you Dr. Martin and your office team! One of the most difficult things I did all week was to walk in your office the door but you made it a positive experience and I am encouraged that one day I may be able to open it and walk in without anxiety.

Knowing that I was going to need some serious work on two of my teeth, my wife and I went in to Dr. Martin's office to get a second opinion on what I needed to do. Previously, at another location, we really felt like we were getting sold - to the point where all of my insurance availability was going to go towards everything BUT the two teeth that needed the most attention.
I wanted to preface with that because when we met with Dr. Martin, his main focus was taking care of what I wanted to take care of. Of course he went through my entire mouth and identified everything that needed to be done, but he was incredibly up front about doing it at whatever pace I would like. Honestly, and all cliche comments aside, you can easily tell that Dr. Martin thoroughly enjoys what he does and is NOT out to maximize the monetary side of dentistry.
Finally, I'd like to comment on his abilities. This is probably the biggest reason as to why I'd recommend Dr. Martin to literally anyone. He has the ability to perform any treatment necessary. Going in to my "big day" - which was supposed to be about 6 small cavities, as well as two root canals - he moved right along and was fantastic at making sure I was completely numb. First off, when he realized that one of the root canals didn't need that severe of treatment, he was honest and went ahead with a normal crown procedure. The other tooth, unfortunately, could not be safely treated as a root canal. So, literally right then and there, we made the decision to move forward with an implant. Point is, what started as two root canals, ended up being one crown and one implant. The fact that he has the skill set to make adjustments like that is truly priceless.
I wanted to share my story with the simple hope that it can help someone feel comfortable during that first visit. In this day and age, it's easy to wonder if you're getting "sold" or not, and I hope my situation helps explain what kind of values that Dr. Martin has in regards to all the different types of dental needs.

I was very pleased with Dr. Martin. It was my first visit and it was for a root canal!! No fun but Dr. Martin and his staff made me as comfortable as possible.
This was the 3rd dentist I went to for this problem because I wanted to shop around. The price varies so much from dentist to dentist and of course you want to have a capable dentist.
I found a good price as well as a very capable dentist.
So far I'm very pleased and can't wait until I get my permanent crown placed in a couple of weeks.

Awesome! I had an implant surgery, and recovery was great... Little to no pain afterwards. Dr Martin and his staff go the extra Ike to make sure everything was okay...

t was super again. Like I wrote in my review of him and his staff on Yelp they are just remarkable. I don't know what to say. I went through four dentists before I met Dr Martin. So after 3 years and nearly 30,000 dollars in money I spent I could kick myself for not going to his office sooner. I wouldn't be having the problems I'm having today if I'd gone to him 3 years ago. He is a super super guy with a great attitude and I can say the same thing about his staff.

It was nice. Everyone was friendly from the moment I walked in. Since I was a first time customer they gave me a tour of the facility. I did not have my insurance card but that was not an issue b/c they have a lady who handled all insurance matters for me. The dental hygenist and dentist were knowledgable and friendly. I will be back
