His very easy to schedule appointments for myself and my kids (who see Dr. Yuan) at the same time which helps with time management for the family calendar. I also appreciate not having to wait for a long time to be seen, Dr. Lew sees me within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment. I always find the staff helpful and curtious.

He was pretty talkative which kind of put me at ease but also was a little awkward since responding was difficult as my mouth was being cleaned.
They had just installed a new computer system that was kind of shaky. It took a long time to get x-Ray pics. I will try again to see if the kinks get worked out.

My treatment philosophy is that of seeing the person as a whole. Many times treatments focus on appearance and esthetics alone. Making things look better but never once taking into account functional or health problems. Many times headaches and migraines can simply be caused by nighttime grinding and or teeth clenching. Why just prescribe migraine medication? Why not just treat the cause? These same headaches and migraines can also be caused by nutritional and or chronic infections or allergies. There are a multitude of possibilities.
I also believe children should be evaluated as early as 6 years old for orthodontic intervention. If a child has mismatched upper and lower jaw sizes, why wait until they are teens to start straightening teeth? ADD and nighttime bedwetting can be a result of poor orthodontic conditions, which cause poor airway conditions. Again why leave an obvious jaw size discrepancy and just straighten teeth? Treat the cause. Functional orthodontics involves the use of appliances to match jaw sizes while a child is still growing.
Furthermore, the use of functional orthodontics in adults usually involves treatment of headaches of TMJ. These untreated children tend to become adults with sleep disorders. Whether it is poor sleep quality or medically diagnosed sleep apnea, these adults continue on their journey of preventable health issues such as headaches, migraines, TMJ, hypertension, and chronic fatigue.
My diagnosis considers the person as a whole for life. This is a far-reaching goal, which can only be accomplished in conjunction with other heath care practitioners. We work with many physicians and therapists to help you obtain your best. Health care is life long journey of knowledge for both the patient and practitioner.

Came in with a specific problem. Dr. Lew fixed it. I was happy that they told me the truth about the fact that my tooth is healthy and does not need any expensive dental work, as well as the potential problem, of which I have known for years. I've been to doctors who tried to use this problem to upsell, and make me do the expensive dental work telling me that I had no other options. So, I felt that this doctor is trustworthy. The procedure I needed was not the easiest one, again I know because I've been through it before, but he preformed it surprisingly easily and well. I am also satisfied with the fact that he listened to me and tried to understand my biggest concern, which is cosmetic and could be more of a taste issue, but it is counter-intuitive for most people, and usually doctors give me a hard time and some have refused to accommodated. Dr. Lew gave me a little bit of a hard time, we sort of agreed to disagree, and I appreciate that he really tried to understand and do what I had requested.

Best Dentist I've ever been to! He was very thorough, taking pictures of my problem areas so that I could see what he was talking about. He was also willing to discuss things in detail. He is a very nice man. Also, the front office was very helpful in providing me information on billing and insurance.
