Dr. Caresa Doakes is a Kansas City, Missouri native. She graduated with Honors from the University of Missouri St. Louis in 2008. After working for two years as a scientist in the biotechnology industry, Dr. Doakes decided to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist. She attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry, earning her DDS in 2014. While in school , Dr. Doakes was a part of the Operative Dentistry Honors program, received an American Dental Association Ambassador Award, and upon graduation received the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Doakes enjoys getting to know her patients while providing quality dental care.

I love Dr Doakes I was very specific in terms of my treatment plan and she has done everything possible to accommodate my needs. She is professional and I feel like she is honest with you as far as services that you need and does not create extra, unnecessary fees. They gave me a much better plan for fixing a lot of the problems I've had for years. I thought I was going to be having dental problems for a long time to come but can now get it all taken care of within a couple months. I just started coming to the Smile Salon last week and needed to get some cavities filled and I do not like getting cavities filled at the dentist. Before the visit I was very anxious about the appointment, but Dr Doakes was so nice and reassuring. I loved that I could have headphones to listen to music while the doctor worked. Once she started I had no discomfort. Dr Doakes is so friendly and professional. It’s almost like I’ve known her more than a week!

I don't like the open plan office layout. There is no privacy and it is too noisy. It's nerve racking to have your teeth drilled while it sounds like a party is going on behind you.

Dr. Doakes is an exceptionally gifted dentist and kind person. I pretty much have the worst set of teeth in the world (my mother was a drug user during her pregnancy with me) so I have almost no enamel, massive gum recession and crowns on nearly all of my front and back teeth. Despite all of that, Dr. Doakes treats me with kindness and respect as if I had a perfect set of beautiful, strong teeth.

I saw Ms. Doakes twice this day - in the morning to install my two new crown teeth and in the afternoon to adjust my nighttime mouth guard. Both times were done professionally, with a great attitude and made both visits pleasant, something I used to not get when I visited here in the past. Dr. Doakes is a GOD SEND...I like many had gone without dental care because of Insurance...other illnesses made it necessary to address them...four visits later eight teeth extracted. The Care is above average. The staff is AMAZINGLY WARM and professional. I have always had a CRIPPLING FEAR of DENISTRY....not anymore...I am up on my PC after four extractions this morning. LOVE THE SMILE SALON....and REALLY LOVE Dr. Caresa Doakes!
