Being a military family that relocates frequently, it is not always easy to find such great dental care. Parker Dentistry staff members have been friendly, helpful, professional, and available for questions each visit.

My husband and I moved to Lakewood just about 2 years ago. We went to a dentist a friend recommended and didn't like the experience. Then we heard about Dr. Parker. We have been patients for about a year. I have had xrays and my teeth cleaned twice. He was very helpful when I complained that my teeth seemed to have moved enough that my bite was different and some teeth rubbed. He spent some time explaining and showing me Invisiline orthodontics. I decided to do it and yesterday had my impressions made. It was easy and comfortable and only took about a half hour. He asked many times how I was doing. We are both pleased with our choice of his office. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Dr. Chad Parker and staff are the most efficient and friendly office I have ever been to. They are all working together to make the patient comfortable and to make the visit as pleasant as possible. I was also very impressed with the CEREC procedure. Dr. Parker explained exactly what he was doing and answered all my questions about this new procedure, at least for me it was new. My appointment lasted about two hours and I went home with a perfect crown that looks really natural. This is a very trustworthy office I would recommend without reservation. I am very happy and love my new tooth. Wish all my teeth looked that good. I might add this is really painless, unlike the old crown way of many appointments. Thanks Dr. Parker !

He and his staff were very friendly, reassuring, and accommodating. Due to social anxiety I often have difficulty being around strangers, but that was reduced within minutes. He ensured that I saw what was going on, eg pointing out various things on the xray. He and his staff did their best to make sure I understood them, eg calling the fillings by their colors ("white" and "silver") at first (until I indicated I knew what the materials are), so I'm pretty sure they'll never talk over me or make me feel stupid about not understanding something.
He discussed treatment options and priorities, explaining how composite resins these days can be long-lasting and sturdy enough for use with molars, but left it up to me whether I wanted to use amalgam and in which teeth. (Googling this upon coming home, I saw that he was correct. But it seems that most dentists aren't trained in school about properly placing composite fillings in back teeth, which can be tricky to do correctly. From what I understand now, modern composite fillings can withstand biting forces even on molars, and while amalgam might last longer on average, composites strengthen teeth while amalgam weakens them. Amalgam-filled fractured teeth mean more trips to the dentist!)
I asked about composite strength in the first place because some years ago, I had bad experiences with them, then read they're usually not used in molars. Along with explaining how composites can indeed be used for molars, he added that they shouldn't crack and fall out easily (that was my bad experience) unless they're placed with incorrect technique, and if one of mine happen to fail within a few years, come back to see him and he'll make it right. I don't think it's only a matter of being nice to patients--they also care about their reputation, unlike large regional/national chains.
The fees seem very reasonable, but what I really liked is how the office contacted my insurance for information about how much they would pay, and gave me estimates in writing about how much my dental work would cost with composite fillings, compared to using amalgam for the molars. This way I can choose what to use, based on out-of-pocket cost as well as how my teeth are affected. This was a huge change from previous dentists, who didn't discuss filling material or insurance payment amounts at all, and just told me how much to pay afterward.
I am slightly hearing impaired (not nearly enough to need a hearing aid etc but enough to have trouble understanding verbal speech sometimes), so I was relieved everyone spoke clearly. I rarely had to ask anyone to repeat themselves. Some (including the dentist himself) were quite chatty, talking about things like animals and comparing different areas to live in, when not examining my mouth or discussing dental-related things. This went a long way toward getting comfortable with speaking to them.
My only complaint was that whoever picked up the phone when I tried to reschedule wasn't familiar with relay phone calls (I get that a lot, it's not specific to this business), which caused me to use the rescheduling option on this website. His practice started using ZocDoc fairly recently and aren't completely used to it, so there was a mixup. They didn't know I was rescheduled for that day, so I was afraid I would just have to go home and come back another day. However, they gave me the paperwork to fill out (and helped when I wasn't sure what to write on the forms), and the dentist came in by the scheduled time to see me. That was a pleasant surprise!
I was also happy that while he offered whitening services for after my cavities were fixed, he noted that I didn't need to use them, they're clearly aesthetic. I'd never really considered it before (I'm the type that considers makeup a waste of time and money, and haven't worn "nice" clothes since fifth grade), so I was happy that he explained how it works and left it up to me to decide when the time came. Some service providers can be very pushy about certain things their clients don't need--he wasn't like that at all.
I'm actually looking forward to my appointment next week, and seeing just how good he is at filling my cavities ;)

I've been going to the Parker's since I was 12 or 13 years old which has been a very long time. Dr. William Parker who started the practice is one of the nicest, kindness and mast generous human beings I have had the pleasure to call my Dentist and friend. Dr. Chad Parker is a spitting image of his father and not limited to the professional and technical skills this practice is known for, but also being what I have come to coin, "being a Parker". Which is kindness, caring, painless and to where the patients are put first before anything else. The family and practice are a legacy in the area and for someone like me with a severe dental phobia they care enough to make sure that I feel like I am their only patient when I am there for how you greeted when you arrive, while you are there and when you leave.
