Dr. CJ Megna has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics for over 23 years! Born and raised in Galveston, he earned his undergraduate degree in the piney woods of East Texas at Stephen F. Austin University. Afterward, he completed his dental training, receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. He then spent three and half years in Denver, Colorado serving as a general dentist in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps. He graduated from the University of Texas Orthodontic Program in Houston in 1995 as a Specialist in Orthodontics, and moved back to San Antonio with his wife to start a family and open his private orthodontic practice.
An esteemed member of the orthodontic community, Dr. CJ Megna has lectured numerous times on the latest developments in orthodontics, and is an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists as well as the San Antonio Dental Society.
Dr. CJ Megna and his wife, Karen, have been married since 1989, and they enjoy living in San Antonio with their two daughters, Kaylee and Kristen. His family enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, horseback riding and snow skiing. Other interests include playing the guitar. He is an active member in his church as well as being involved with the Wounded Warriors and Big Brothers of San Antonio.
