Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Chen graduated with honors in 1988, earning a B.D.S. degree from Kaoshiung Medical College. In 1992, he completed advanced specialty training in prosthodontics (crowns and bridges) at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chen also graduated from the orthodontic specialty program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2002. His academic experience includes teaching on the faculty of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, first as an instructor and then as an Associate Professor (1996-2000). In addition, he has served as the Division Head of Fixed Prosthodontics in the Restorative Dentistry Department at Tufts University from 1997-2000.
