Dr. Behrens was professional, warm, and completely thorough in her explanations and treatment plan. I cannot stand going to the dentist but she made what was going to be a nerve wrecking appointment (I need a lot of dental work) into an experience that was actually somewhat pleasant. I wish I had found her a long, long time ago! I

She graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1980, and then immediately attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, which she graduated in 1984. After graduating dental school, Dr. Behrens completed a post-graduate dental General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Northport, New York. She currently lives in Chappaqua, New York with her Husband Dr.Gary S. Tomack. She and her husband have a practice in New York City. She has a son David, daughter Emily, and dog Benny. Dr. Behrens is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Behrens believes in maintaining the highest standards of care by taking continuing dental education course throughout the year. Dr. Behrens enjoys long walks with her dog and actively attends a gym for physical exercise.

All in all I recommend her. They were really helpful with having a correspondence with my insurance company and being able to tell me how much my co-payment will be prior the visit.
The only downside of this place is that they don't have a panoramic x-ray, therefore the need to do around 6-8 partial x-rays. Other then that I am satisfied.

Everyone from the front desk, to the hygienist, to Dr. Behrens were extremely friendly and helpful. I have not been to a dentist in over two years and they truly took care of me and gave a thorough cleaning.

Had an exceptional with Dr. Behrens and the rest of the staff at Manhattan Dental Studio. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome.
High tech gadgets + amazing bedside manner + an awesome front desk = An enjoyable experience.
Not to mention, this practice probably has the comfiest chairs I've ever been in for a dental appointment. They even had a blanket for me because I was cold!
Look forward to the next appt. :)

It sounds strange to say, but this is the first time that I feel that I can say a doctor's appointment was a pleasure.
From reception to the appointment itself - everyone involved helped make this process a breeze. Normally, I get super anxious about dental appointments, so this was a pleasant surprise. (more so, this time around since it had been quite a few years since my last appointment)

Had my first appointment this morning, everything was great! I have a lot of dental work to be done but everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Really great cleaning and detailed exam. They saw me right away which was great since I was going before work. Only complaint is it was difficult to plan a follow up visit but I guess it's because everyone wants to go back :)

Dr. Behrens was great -- very straightforward, but also understanding and encouraging at my first dentist appointment after far far too long. She talked me through the incremental plan to get my mouth up to speed. I don't love going to the dentist, but I expect to stick with this plan because it's manageable. Plus, the front of office staff are great and tell me that they check in with my insurance to give me an estimate for my out-of-office cost in advance of each appointment.

This was one of the best medical offices that I've ever visited in New York. I was sent my paperwork in advance, and the team had already checked with my insurance what my expected co-pay would be. When I arrived, my entry was totally seamless, and I was seen very quickly.
Dr. Behrens is straightforward, incredibly thorough, helpful, and personable. Her team is warm, professional, and attentive. I think I've found my primary dentist!

I am very terrified of the dentist, and Dr Behrens and her team made me feel very comfortable. They walked me through everything they were doing, & made sure I was not in any pain. As much as I disliked they visited to the dentist, they made it very tolerable. Thanks for taking care of me and my fears. Highly recommend for all (even those reluctant to visit the terrifying dentist...)

Dr Behrens took her time and explained everything very well to me. She seemed very knowledgeable. She and her staff were all extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. This is definitely one of the best dentist experiences I have had. I would recommend her to anyone!

It's heartwarming to know that in a city as big as New York, there are still friendly, welcoming places like Dr. Behrens' practice. They really take the "personal touch" seriously and it's made all of my visits pleasant from start to finish. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

It was absolutely amazing. Everybody was polite, and encouraged me not to be scared. Very clean, and high end technology, the chair was like a cloud. But mostly, the alerts you get via email and phone are on time, there is no way you would miss the appointment.
