The orthodontic practice was started in the 1950's by my late father, Dr. Bruce T. Mathias, and was relocated from downtown Harrisburg to its present location in 1960.After graduating from Trinity High School in 1976, I followed the path to North Front Street via Bucknell University (1980), the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland (1984), completing my formal education with a masters degree in orthodontics from Georgetown University in 1989. I joined my father that year and after ten years together, he retired "unofficially." I continue the practice today, more than 60 years from its origins on Pine Street, as a solo practioner - an orthodontic specialist - supported by an experienced and friendly staff.
Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in orthodontics in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my team. That is just one reason why I value each and every patient relationship.
