Dr. Steichen graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Prior to dental school he attended the University of New Mexico, and completed his undergraduate education in biology sciences.
Since 1988, Dr. Steichen has happily practiced dentistry in Albuquerque and has had the pleasure of providing dental care to families over the years as they grow. He truly values the collaboration between education, technology, and effective disease prevention. As a commitment to life long learning, he has received additional training in implant procedures, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal surgery, and laser therapies. In addition to managing his own dental practice, he has been an instructor at the University of New Mexico and is a member of both the American Dental Association and the Albuquerque District Dental Society.

For the last eight years I have entrusted Dr. Steichen and his incredible staff with the care of my and my four children's teeth. Every experience has been a pleasure. None of my children fear going to the dentist. Dr. Steichen and his staff are warm, responsive and highly competent. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I was concerned that provider told me that a tooth needed to be pulled, since I come in every 3 months & x-ray when needed, I though less invosive treatment could have been put in place earlier.
