Dr. Markova received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She completed her Orthodontic Residency at the Washington Hospital Center in DC and was Resident Team Leader at Children's National Medical Center Cleft Lip and Palate Craniofacial Clinic. Prior to dental school, she obtained her B.S. in Kinesiology at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Markova is a clinical lecturer at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and a featured lecturer at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Markova has published research articles in various dental publications. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the DC Dental Society, and President of the DC branch of the Harvard Odontological Society.

Great customer service! I waited less than 15 minutes and on the way out they apologized for the delay in my visit and offered me a gift card. Crissy Marjova had great bedside manner and it was an efficient visit.

Very easy to schedule appointments and they make sure to remind you ahead of time. Baked cookies greet you when you walk in - amazing. I'm new to the area so I trusted some reviews on zocdoc and booked an appointment. Glad I did! I went to get my retainer adjusted. They were very polite. Dr. Markova listened to my concerns and did a great job adjusting my retainers they are much more comfortable! She gave me some advice for my baby tooth extraction and implant placement as well! For any additional ortho concerns Dr. Markova will be my first stop!

Wow, I didn't know dentist offices this awesome existed. Very bright and modern facility, starting with a nice waiting area and pleasant person at the front desk who actually smiles at you and welcomes you while knowing what she's doing. The doctor came out to greet me and gave me a tour of the facility. We then went into her private office where we talked about my mouth piece. She then spent time with me checking my bite and mouth piece and how everything fit. She said that I didn't need any adjustment or a new mouth piece. She was very nice and walked me back to the front desk. There was no charge for the consultation! Shannon at the desk was wonderful. The modern x-ray machine gives out less radiation and the dental chairs are facing the window with a great view from the 8th floor.

I've been seeing Dr. Markova for orthodontics for about four months now. Everything has been going great so far and she and her staff are super responsive - they always answer any questions I have within a few hours. They truly represent a medical team that cares about its patients.

Dr. Markova and her staff are wonderful!! I was running late because of work and they were very accommodating. They understood and they did what they could to get me in and out. I went in for a consultation and I am going back to get my scans for Invisalign! The staff is very nice and Shannon has done everything she could to work with me on making this affordable for me! I've contacted her many times over the last few days and she is always very pleasant to speak with me and has never seemed like I was annoying her or anything. She's been extremely helpful and although the office is currently out of network for me I changed it just so I could go to this office. They also gave me a cute little gift for coming to do my consultation there :)! This could go on forever haha but bottom line is I would refer anyone here and would definitely tell you to go!

Dr. Markova and her staff made me feel at ease, provided very thorough and helpful information regarding my concerns, and made thoughtful and practical recommendations for my treatment. They were warm, caring, and patient answering all questions I had. I was very pleased with my visit and will continue receiving orthodontics care at their office. I even left with a small gift bag as a token of appreciation of their patients :)

Dr. Markova is friendly, knowledgeable, and is using so many wonderful new techniques for my children. Orthodontics is really evolving!

My kids all needed braces and Dr. Markova and her staff were so accommodating to my family and I. Her office staff worked out financial plans and options that worked for me and they coordinated appointments for my kids so I could bring them to their appointments all at the same time. It made my life that much easier and I will recommend her to any families in need of an orthodontist. Great family discount!!
