Dr. Koilpillai was extremely personable, thorough, and professional. He took the time and effort to do the most comprehensive dental exam I've ever had, and I just came in as a new patient without problems for a routine cleaning! His staff are all pleasant and polite, and facilities are very clean and well-maintained. I did have to wait a bit for my cleaning, but I can't fault them too much for that since I was a same-day appointment.

Dr. David Koilpillai was born in India and as a very young child came to the United States along with his family. He was raised in Takoma Park, Maryland and attended both elementary and high school there. He graduated from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park with his undergraduate degree in medical technology. He attended the University of Maryland Dental School and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1983. Since then, Dr. Koilpillai has completed hundreds of hours of continuing dental education credits in order to keep up to date on the latest advances in dentistry and dental practice management.
Since 1991, Dr. Koilpillai has been practicing quality dentistry in his Laurel, MD office. He enjoys practicing general dentistry because of the variety of procedures and treatment options he can offer. He especially finds it satisfying to help those who have been crippled by their dental condition. He enjoys volunteering his services as a dentist, and his favorite charity work was his trip to an orphanage in Mexico six years ago, where he provided dental services for the children.
Dr. Koilpillai has been married for more than 30 years to his wife Hannah. Their daughter graduated from University of Maryland Dental school in May 2013. She has joined her father in his practice and is excited about working with him. Dr. Koilpillai also enjoys several activities outside his profession, including being active in his church, traveling, photography, riding his motorcycle, spending time outdoors, and gardening.

I've been a patient of doctor Koilaplai (SP) for over 15 yrs and I'm still very satisfied with his service & work. He is my one-stop-shop for all my dental work and I have NEVER been disappointed. I love that he us patient with me, very knowledgeable, offers great service & convenient & flexible hours. He is always current on the new technologies. His team at the office is always professional and makes you feel comfortable & welcome. Great practice/office!!!

I have been coming to Montpelier Family Dentistry for years. My entire family comes here because the operative word in their name is "Family" I enjoy coming to my extended "Family" that happens to be dentists. I highly recommend "MFD". Very professional and at the same time caring.
