After growing up in Florida, Dr. Magid attended Brandeis University for his undergraduate degree. He pursued his doctoral degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He continued his dental education through a residency program at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, receiving multiple awards for outstanding achievement. Dr. Magid now keeps his practice up-to-date with continuing education courses to make sure his patients get the best care possible.

You can't attend to a patient before careful listening to their needs. Also talking to someone else while attending to a patient is not very professional.
My sons teeth were not cleaned up well. He left spots. I wasn't happy.

My experience with Dr. Magid was the most painless and problem-free dental experience I've had. Ever. Despite showing up a few minutes late, my wait was less than 5 minutes.
He is attentive, social, and makes an effort to explain every procedure, as he works. His perceived professionalism and the fluidity of his work go a long way toward putting one at ease. He seems to genuinely enjoy his work, and I think that always ensures a greater degree of skill accrues over the long term.
At no point did I feel as though David's work was rushed or impersonal. He paid close attention to all my responses and sought to address them as best he could.
Once Dr. Magid had determined that I would need a cavity filled at a future date, he and his secretary worked seamlessly to accommodate my needs. They booked me an appointment with less than a week wait period.

EXCELLENT !!!!! Would highly recommend Dr. Magid. Wonderful personality and informs you of each step of the procedure. He assured me of no worries and more importantly no pain, I felt no pain during my procedure and he is very skillful in his approach. It was easy to make an appointment on short notice. He and his assistant were very personable. They should offer a mirror to their patients after the appointment, or you should ask for one, because I walked out of the office and spent half the day with pink dental goop on my check. Dr. Magid should ask the landlord of his Bronx office to replace the tile floors and repaint the walls of the examination rooms. On balance, I'm happy with my visit.

My visit went excellent. The staff is very friendly and professional. There was a couple of people waiting in the reception area when I arrived, but the staff and Dr. handled everyones needs in a timely manner. My appointment was at 11am and I was seen almost immediatel. The Dr. was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. He was very informative and attentive also. I highly recommend him. Dr. Magid was VERY thorough, friendly and proffessional. He used the latest technology to examine and clean my teeth and took the time to explain in detail (with high tech x-ray photos) all (and there were a lot) of issues I had with my teeth so that I understood what had been going on in my mouth over time. I would highly recommend him!

I have a heart condition known as Right Bundle Branch Block. Went to a doctor, got a physical exam + blood test, said that I had nothing to worry about. Just some skipped heart beats here & there & that my case wasn't life threatening. I didn't take his word for it so I saw a cardiologist just to make sure. I was told the same thing!
Normally by now, I would've gone about my daily business thinking that there was nothing "physically" wrong with me. But I was still curious about some unexplained chest pains I'd get from time to time.
Now this is where ZocDoc came in. Last week, I had a nagging problem with bleeding gums that resulted in tooth pain. I wanted to know if oral health was connected to heart health so I went on google & ran a search on "bleeding gums heart disease" & to my surprise there was actual debate on the subject. Now I haven't seen a dentist in roughly 5 years cause growing up, I wasn't too thrilled about going to the dentist but the pain was unbearable at times & I wanted to get checked out ASAP w/o having to wait a week or so having booked the appointment. So I went online, saw an open slot in Magid's schedule & booked my appointment a couple hours before the visit.
The place is small but clean to say the least! Magid & his staff were professional & very well mannered. The dentist was very knowledgeable & took his time w/the procedure (cleaning). Turns out my teeth had Tartar which had to get removed. Left untreated, the bacteria can work its way through your blood stream & mess w/your insides (go figure). Once the bacteria hardens, you can't just brush that stuff off! You must have a dentist evaluate it. Thank goodness for the anesthesia! What I thought would've been a painful process turned out alright. Overall, great experience & I would gladly return for a dental cleaning. I feel like I can place my trust w/this dentist & I don't say that much about the medical community. The convenience of seeing him is that there's an eye doctor right next door for all your "eye" purposes (like getting glasses). Sorry if this review is a tad bit long but I didn't want to write anything too generic like "good place, good doctor" because that doesn't provide the reader w/enough information in my opinion! If you're thinking about paying them a visit, Concourse West Dental is a block up from the 161st train station, 4-line, & right across the street from Yankee Stadium. If you don't like the thought of going to the dentist for whatever reason (like me), please re-consider because you would being doing something positive not only for your teeth but overall heart health. In the end, I'm glad the tartar was removed from my system!
