Dr. Ruggio received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1981.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Ruggio participated in a dental residency program at Cook County Hospital where he received advanced training in oral surgery, internal medicine, general anesthesia and dental care for medically compromised patients.
Dr. Ruggio has been in private practice since 1981. In addition to private practice, he was on staff at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and Water Tower Surgery Center providing dental and oral surgical care to his patients.
In May 2015, Dr. Ruggio merged his Lincoln Park dental practice with Webster Dental Care. Because of his experience and expertise, Dr. Ruggio provides his patients with dental care that spans the spectrum from routine dental procedures to comprehensive dental care that includes cosmetic dental procedures, dental implant placement and full mouth rehabilitation.
Dr. Ruggio grew up in River Forest, Illinois. He maintains residences in Lincoln Park and Arlington Heights where he and his wife raised three sons.
