Dr. David Serratelli is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who puts an emphasis on providing compassionate and state-of-the-art treatment to his patients. He focuses on creating an environment that minimizes the stresses of the visit by educating the patient on all their options and guiding them to make the best informed decision.
He obtained a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/ Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey where he graduated at the top of his class.
After dental school, Dr. Serratelli wanted to fine tune his skills in oral surgery and completed an Internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Philadelphia, PA at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After completing the internship, Dr. Serratelli took his skills to Private Practice as a General Dentist. It was during this time that Dr. Serratelli learned that he had a particular interest and passion for treating the community through surgery. He therefore went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial training at Rutgers University. During his residency, he went on multiple medical mission trips to Bangladesh to provide the community with Cleft Lip/ Palate and Facial reconstruction with Shahid Aziz, DMD, MD through “Smile
Bangladesh”.
Dr. Serratelli was also involved in research specifically for Trigeminal Nerve repair and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He served as the Chief Resident during his final year of residency. Dr. Serratelli was trained extensively in Facial Cosmetic Surgery (Nose job (rhinoplasty), Eyelid (blepharoplasty), Browlift, Face/ Neck lifts), Corrective Jaw (orthognathic) Surgery, Nerve repair, TMJ, craniofacial (cleft repair), transgender reaffirmation surgery and trauma. He gained experience using the most-up-to-date technology to more effectively treat his patients such as Virtual Surgical Planning (VSP), custom plating, and predictive soft tissue modeling.
