Dawn is incredibly patient, knowledgable and attentive. If you're sensitive to pain, she is the right person to go to, as she is very careful not to leave the patient feeling uncomfortable. 10/10 would recommend!

I will not be returning there, when my first visit was great, my second never happened! i called the office for 1 month straight and never heard back from them, until one day they told me oh sorry we were closed :( Super unprofessional. Wasted my time and my teeth is still hurting.

I have had bad experiences with dentists since moving to New York who seem to be going on expeditions to find things wrong with my relatively ok teeth. Dr Jones-Sylla was very thorough and explained all treatment options.

Dr. Jones-Sylla was AMAZING!!! She was highly knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and very, very friendly. She clearly and thoroughly explained what was happening, and what would need to happen next, and she did a great job relaxing me while I was in her chair. I recommend her unequivocally, and I will be returning to her office in the future!

While Dr. Jones-Sylva herself is extremely professional, her office's services are terrible. I called several times asking for a referral to an oral surgeon, and they never once responded, despite repeated promises to do so. However, they called me twice a week reminding me to come back to get fillings done. I finally decided to switch dentists, and asked they forward my Xrays over. Unfortunately, they had lost my dental x-rays within a month of taking them, and asked that i come back in to take new ones. I then spent another 30 minutes watching the technician try and take my xray, and ultimately produce an xray that was so dark, he tried to explain it away by saying "the dentist really only needs to see these two teeth." Right. Bottom line, the dentist is great, but be prepared for a huge hassle.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Jones Sylla. The office environment was amazing. The staff made me feel very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The best part was that I was at another doctors appointment that ran late and I called to advise Dr. Jones that I was late and they waited for me until I arrived. It was the end of the day and i'm sure the staff wanted to go home.

The check-in was speedy. The wait time was ridiculous. I had to wait for over an hour before I sat in the chair. I complained several times to the receptionist but there was only so much she could do (clearly she is not a clinician). The front desk was apologetic. The doctor wasn't. The doctor was very knowledgeable. But all of that knowledge is useless to me if you do not have the best bedside manner or you are running ridiculously behind schedule.

I am a physician so my standard and pickiness is much higher than average. First the office space itself is clean and pleasant and large compared to your average NYC office. It is conveniently located with street parking available as well as a garage on 119th St less than 1 block away.
Jessica the receptionist is pleasant and helpful. Gladys the hygienist is great at her job with a gentle hand and able to accommodate clients like me with a strong gag reflex.
Dr. Dawn and her dental colleague took ample time to evaluate and educate with their state-of-the art computer system that took pictures of my teeth. They developed a stepped treatment plan and also recommended home regiments for our execution.
The office has financing available for treatments to work into everyone's budget. And given that we lack dental insurance like most other Americans this is big.
My husband and I are thrilled to have found this practice.
Note that they even took us early for our appointment and they even accommodated a walk in client without missing a beat.

It is unbelievable that I even received confirmation of my appointment several times previous to it, yet when I arrived on time I was not in their system, they were supposed to accept my, insurance never the less they denied it and turn me back, such a waste of my time, and in Manhattan traveling from east to west side or vice versa is more difficult that going from tip to tip of the island.

Dawn Jones-Sylla, needs to up date her satus with 1199 union. She's not a participant, she bills 1199 and charge her own fee. When i called my health insurance plan they told me she is under their contract, so she should not be charging me anything fee unless, 1199 does not cover the procedures

Oh my gosh. Greatest dentist ever- her office is very up to date, she's polite and knowledgable, and her staff are all super awesome! I was seen in a timely manner, and she let me know things my dentist completely forgot to mention, I guess. More in depth. Answered all of my questions, and gave me a free electric toothbrush! :D
