Best dental experience ever! They are unlike any off I have ever been to, cool, young & great vibe. They are transparent about your insurance, billing and explaining why you need the treatment. I was able to schedule an appointment and be seen the next day.

More about Dr. Derek Appelblatt, DDS
A graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, Dr. Appelblatt received his bachelor’s degree in biology, with a focus on plant science. After completing undergrad, he went on to study and practice yoga and massage therapy for 2 years prior to being accepted at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he graduated from in June 2018. Dr. Appelblatt began his career practicing in the town of San Luis Obispo, but has since moved back to San Francisco to deliver highly personalized care to the people of this world class city.
Dr. Appelblatt loves practicing all aspects of dentistry, and continues to expand his skills by attending continuing education courses. Currently he is taking a dental sleep medicine mini-residency, so he can follow in his Mother’s footsteps by treating patients with sleep disorders. Dr. Appelblatt also plans on teaching this coming school year at UoP dental school, and will be assisting Dr. Homer Asadi in conducting continuing education courses on head and neck anatomy.
When he is not in the office, you can find Dr. Appelblatt surfing, running, and (most recently) paragliding.

Dr. Derek Appelblatt was great. They do not take Cigna DHMO. I had to pay $ out of pocket. Not sure why Zocdoc says that they do.

I usually do not like going to the dentist, but Dr. Appelblatt was great! I needed a couple fillings & he did them quickly & most importantly, with no pain.

Dr. Appelblatt has offically changed the way I feel about going to the dentist! He is extremely thorough and explained everthing to me in an understandable way. The staff in the office are friendly & welcoming! I've already referred two co-workers.
