Dr. Dutran Do performed my surgery for my wisdom tooth extraction. I can not think of a better oral surgeon to help me. I found him through ZocDoc and had a delightful experience from beginning to end. Unlike other doctors, Dr. Do personally contacted me about my concerns, pricing estimates, as well as detailed information on the procedure. He would respond back to all emails promptly which was much appreciated (even when I did not) Despite complicated insurance problems, he was patient with me and did everything he can to make things happen.
During the time of surgery, he was also able to take out all my teeth successfully without pain. He followed up with my pharmacies to ensure medication availability. He also contacted personally to ensure that everything is okay and address any concerns I might have, filling me in on all details of the procedure and aftercare.
Dr. Dutran Do has proven that he is able to provide elevated service! He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and experienced. I'm completely satisfied with my experience and if wisdom tooth extractions was not a pain to recover from, I would go back to Dr. Do. I highly recommend him for all your dental needs. THANK YOU!

Dr. Dutran Tyler Do is a dual degree (D.M.D. and M.D.), board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Do received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Connecticut Health Center. Following dental school, Dr. Do went on to complete a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. During the years spent at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Do also completed medical school and an internship in general surgery.
The emphasis of his OMS training included: facial trauma, cosmetic facial surgery, cleft lip & palate surgery, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial pathology, placement of facial & dental implants, dental extractions, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, bone grafting, pre-prosthetic surgery, and intravenous general anesthesia & sedation.
Dr. Do is a compassionate and skillful surgeon. He is currently an Attending Physician in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital Center. For the past 5 years, motivated by a desire to help those less fortunate, Dr. Do has provided dozens of free surgeries to cleft lip & palate patients in Mexico and the Philippines.

Dr. Do was highly knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He explained ALL of my options with wisdom teeth removal very clearly, and discussed the pricing options of each, setting me at ease. He was honest, and the cost at the end of the procedure matched exactly what he told me before (no secret fees pooping up). He was also dedicated, meeting me after business hours when my tooth was in pain. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Do is amazing. I found him on Zocdoc as a participating Dentemax provider (I have BCBS MA and they use this network in NY), left him a voicemail explaining that I was in a good deal of pain, had seen my general dentist (coincidentally, my uncle) in hopes of having my wisdom tooth removed, but my general dentist wanted me to see an oral surgeon, as the tooth appeared to be close to the nerve. Dr. Do returned my call a few hours later, spoke to me on the phone for about ten minutes about my medical history, instructed me on next steps, and scheduled me for a Saturday appointment in Manhattan. He asked for my insurance information, reached out to my insurance company to ensure that I was covered. When I arrived on Saturday morning, he had the full breakdown of what I'd owe and what my insurance would cover.
I was extremely nervous about the the nerve being close to the tooth. He took XRays, told me his perceived likelihood of having an issue with the nerve, as he could tell from my XRay. He explained that I should probably have both of my remaining wisdom teeth removed, as this pain would likely arise with the second as well in time. He offered me sedation with Twilight (which I took), and laughing gas. Dr. Do didn't touch the bone, so I barely experienced any swelling. I literally was out and about, walking (albeit leisurely) around Manhattan all day after the surgery on Saturday and Sunday, only requiring a nap on Saturday afternoon. He called on the surgery day twice, post-op, to follow up and make sure I was feeling alright and taking pain meds as directed.
This guy seriously rocks. I'd recommend him to anyone. He is kind, caring, the office he uses is clean, he's not rushed, and he did an incredible job.
Can't recommend enough.

I saw Dr. Do twice (for extraction and implant). I was so nervous about my tooth extraction that I requested sedation. Dr. Do was very comforting, thorough, and competent. By the second time I saw him for the implant, I was so much more comfortable that I didn't need sedation. Thank you for the excellent work and bedside manner.

I was very surprised at the level of comfort and professionalism on my visit. I was in for a wisdom tooth extraction, and dreading the visit. However, the office was very comfortable and the staff set me at ease very quickly. Dr. Do was amazing! After numbing the area, the procedure was quick and painless. The swelling was minor and the pain after the procedure was minimal. Dr. Do was thorough, honest, warm and very gentle. I even received a follow up call from the doctor the same night to make sure I was doing ok. I will most certainly refer my friends to this practice.

This was my first visit to see Dr. Dutran Do. I arrived at the office and was greeted with a kind receptionist. The office was super clean and modern and the staff there was super professional. I was later consulted by my new doctor and he was very informative and guided me through all the steps in the procedure he was about to perform. He comforted me and let me know exactly what to expect during the procedure. My tooth extraction went smoothly and I'm looking forward to coming back to my follow up and next steps. I would definitely recommend!!
